Other factors are correct. When i simulated ielts for accompanying spouse, i was cleared to be eligible. But, spouse does not intend to write ielts, is there a way around it or can we both go through the eligibility check process?. I will so much appreciate it. Regards

It is not compulsory for the spouse to take the IELTS test. This seems to suggest that without the spouse's IELTS you are below 67.

I meant your scores are not CLB 9 in all language abilities. For example, you need 8 in IELTS listening for it to be CLB 9. You have lower score than 8, so you will receive less than 6 points for listening. Similarly, with other scores. Check IELTS to CLB conversion grid and recalculate.

These are the details entered; age 30, education B.Sc, work experience 7 yrs. With 22 points for language, grid score comes to 68, though I used the come to canada tool to check eligibility. Regards

So I am about to submit my profile through the CIC interface. I am just waiting on my French result to come in. I just have a question. I have had my profile set up for about 20 days and I understand that there is a pool system. If I submit by let's say next week, in which pool will be considered from? From the day the profile was created or when it was submitted?

Also, I keep reading that candidates are invited to apply. I am assuming that happens after you have receive your ITA. Am I understanding right?

The ITA (Invitation to Apply) is the invitation for candidates to apply. For your first question, everyone goes into the same pool but, for purposes of tie-breakers, I think the date of time of SUBMISSION (not creation) is what counts, but I'm not absolutely sure on that.

Which PCC is it? The one for the country in which you currently reside? If so and you plan to submit your eAPR (electronic application for permanent residency) before January 2018, then your PCC will be valid and you'll be fine. But if you submit after the PCC reaches the 6-month-old cut-off, yes, you would need to get a new one. If it's for a country you no longer reside in, as long as you haven't been back to the country since July 2017, then the PCC is fine.

I have completed Bachelors and Masters in Computers in India, when i did my WES evaluation the report says Bachelors Degree 3yrs and Bachelors Degree 4 yrs.

Below is what given when creating express entry profile

Enter the highest level of education for which you:

• earned a Canadian degree, diploma or certificate or
• had an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) if you did your study outside Canada. (ECAs must be from an approved agency, in the last five years)

Which one should i select from below list

Secondary diploma (high school graduation)
One-year program at a university, college, trade or technical school, or other institute
Two-year program at a university, college, trade or technical school, or other institute
Bachelor's degree (three or more year program at a university, college, trade or technical school, or other institute)
Two or more certificates, diplomas or degrees. One must be for a program of three or more years
Master's degree, or professional degree needed to practice in a licensed profession
Doctoral level university degree (PhD)

Can you help me with another work related issue?
My husband is a primary applicant,
He has a work experience letter or roles and responsibilities letter dated September 2016(which was taken for Australian immigration, same format as required here) will the same can be submitted with eAPR?
Or a fresh letter is required, he is working with same organisation in same role.

Hi all !!

I have a Bachelor of Laws in my country, Turkey. In the Wes report; the Equivalency Section says Bachelor's degree (4 years) and in the Credential section says Bachelor of Laws.

My understanding is Law is respected as Professional degree needed to practice in a licensed profession as per http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/eca-conversion.asp (under the Professional degree needed to practice in a licensed profession section there is an additional section for “Law”)

Does my education level comply with First professional degree or Entry-to-practice professional degree for Express Entry? Or will it considered just a Bachelor’s Degree?

actually 434 is not that bad... i think he should have a good shot at ITA either this year or early next year.

you can check CIC website for the trends of cut off scores... last few months its been hovering between 430-438 on average.

depends on how long it says the PCC is valid for also.. some countries it says 3 months, rest by default is 6 months... (again this is for resident countries)
