Hi everybody.
I have a question!
I am the main applicant and I am inland FSW. My husband is outland though. He doesn't even have a visa to come to Canada.
Would I be considered an outland or inland? Has there been such cases to know how they process such applications?

thanks

My brother is seafarer and is currently in process of applying for immigration to Canada. He needs some help in order to know that how to Evaluate/Assess his Marine documents for Express entry application purposes. CIC website mention 5 institutes to get this assessment done, however, all these are assessing only Academic educational document not the Marine certificate or other related courses.

Does a Seafarer needs to assess marine related documents before applying for express entry ? Can anybody help him. Thanks

Has anyone submitted their PR application post ITA, without PCC?

I have got all my documents, except PCC.. I am thinking if I can submit my PR application without PCC. In the mean time, I can go ahead & apply for it. Hopefully, when the CIC officer requests for my PCC, it'll be ready with me.

If in case I am being requested for my PCC before it is ready with me, I anyway have my old PCC that has just crossed the 6-month time frame from the date of issue. Can I submit it? If the officer feels he needs a more recent one, he should anyway give me 5-10 working days, during which I can receive my newly applied PCC.

Request suggestions from seniors.

I did. I applied for PCC 3 days after I received the ITA.
I waited until the 59th day and I submitted my documents.
I included the post office receipt and an explanation letter to show that I have applied for the PCC. and I tentatively receive it by a specific day and I asked them to give me some time. I uploaded the explanation letter in both PCC and Explanation letter Slots when I wanted to submit my application.
They gave me 60 days after that.

My wife and I we complete the EE profile with a score 455. My wife's no is 0... manager food and service and mine as welder with two years experience in Canada both. My question is before Canada I had a business in my home country for 3 and a half years and my wife was working with me as a manager help me with everything how can we proof that as a foreign experience. Do you think it is going to be a problem if my wife have reference letter from her husband? Now my business is close. Any advice from anybody it is going to be helpful.
Thank you.

Hi All,

Would appreciate if the experts could answer a few questions I have:
1. How does the NOC classification you choose effect your application? I mean I could probably fit myself into a few codes - so on what basis should I decide on the code?
2. Do you have to tailor your resume to fit that particular code you choose?
3. Can you search for jobs only in that code?
4. When do you start hunting for PNP approval? Only after you are assessed and put into the pool?
5. Please define job letter. Are you referring to referrals from your previous bosses?
6. I guess all these docs just need to be uploaded and hardcopies are not necessarily required - my bosses are in other countries and I just plan to ask them for a scanned copy.
7. Can resume for application be the standard 2-page one or it has to be very detailed and modified to fit the NOC code?
8. Please expand AOR.

Thanks and regards,

4) Determine the code that best applies to you on the National Occupation Classification (NOC) list

The occupation must be NOC 0, A, or B for FSW or CEC.

5) When you have those in hand you create your express entry profile. and register for the Job Bank

You'll be given points based on your age, education, number of years work experience, and language skills. The points system is detailed here -->

You'll be in a pool with thousands of other applicants

Of course, the more points you have the better. The max is 1200, with 600 of those points coming from your ability to snag a PNP or a job offer with a very hard to get Labour Market Impact Assessment

For CEC applicants, the max is 600 but someone who has no work experience in Canada who is only eligible for FSW can only get up to 520 points.

e) contact previous and current employers about them providing job letters. You must have at least 12 months of full-time, or an equal amount in part-time, skilled work experience. Full-time work means at least 30 hours of paid work per week. Work experience while you were a full-time student does not count.

Hi Everyone,

My questions is a pretty basic one. I am drafting my experience letter for the current employer and I have a few questions, if anyone can help clarify it will be great!

1. Do I need to include my salary breakdown in the experience letter i.e. basic and benefits or just mentioning my gross annual salary is enough? I will submit my pay slips with the breakdown for the last 6 months with the application.
2. My previous employer has issued me the experience letter, however it doesn't include the salary breakdown with benefits. It just states my last drawn salary at the company. Again, for the previous employer I will submit my last 6 months salary for the details on salary and benefits. Would that be okay or should I go back and get a new letter detailing benefits and all?
3. I worked as an IT Business Analyst and applying under NOC 2171. Both the places I have worked for have similar job duties, hope that is not going to be a problem?
4. Is there anything else I should look for while preparing the employment documents that can cause trouble later on?
5. Tax certificates, are they mandatory or optional for the application?

Looking forward to get some help!

TIA,

Hi. Is there any thread which illustrates the steps after getting the ITA and submitting the application? Most of the threads are about steps before getting the ITA and CIC website too focuses on that part. I keep on reading about AOR, PPR, COPR, ECAS, etc. Where can I read more about these in a step wise manner? Thanks.
