Hey Asivad, JKal, Rajmohan, and other seniors,

When I upload all documents, what is next??? I think I will get a link to make the payment. Is it all CAD ~2250 in one shot???

After payment, what is the next step? I am a little nervous about going through the final stage. Have you ever heard anyone having payment through credit card problems in the last stage?

Will I get the reference no. for e-APR immediately? And that is all or there are some other formalities?

When you are done with your application and have uploaded all documents, pay the fee. Paying both the processing fee and the RPRF together is highly recommended.

From what I have heard from people, Credit Cards are charged immediately when you click the pay button. Make sure your card is "International Enabled". Call your CC provider if you have any doubts and ask them if your card is all set to make an international transaction.
Some people have got the AOR right away and some people have got it the next day.

Don't be nervous!! Be calm and do things properly!

I want my spouse to be the primary applicant as being her education is higher than mine we will be able to fetch roughly 462 points ;D, whereas if I will be the primary applicant we will score only 433 points. As the chances of getting ITA with 462 points are very high as compared to 433 we are planning to take this step.

I have a small doubt as her occupation is not there on the NOC list can she be the primary applicant or not ? ???

What do you mean her occupation is not there in the NOC list? Your wife's designation need not necessarily match the designations mentioned in the NOC The whole point of this NOC thing is to look at one's Roles and Responsibilities. Write down the roles and responsibilities of your wife on a piece of paper. Now, try to find a NOC that contains a similar set of roles and responsibilities. You should find one! Here's the link.

You must seriously consider making her the primary applicant if she fetches more CRS points than you do!

To eliminate one step, yes. To avoid delay too. Even if (God forbid) your application is rejected, they are going to refund your RPRF. You don't lose anything! So, I think its better to pay them both together.

Dear All

I have got immigrant visa and want to go NS on Feb 2016. Do I need to pay landing fee before going NS? Or is there any other procedure need to do before going NS. I am going from Bangladesh and I have to land in Montreal or Toronto first and then NS. And my immigration process would in Montreal or Toronto and then connecting flight to NS. Can you please advise me how long it would take the immigration process so that I could arrange the connecting flight accordingly.

Please help me.

What? How did you get your visa before paying the landing fee (I assume you are referring to RPRF?). I am not sure about the wait times. It is advisable to book your flights with 4 - 5 hours in between. Just in case there is a delay.

If I may ask, why do you want to land in Montreal/Toronto first and then go to NS?

I'm applying for Express Entry from Canadian Experience class.
filling the profile, it is asking for "Complete/full academic years".
My bachelor's degree was part-time and I finished it in 7 years. the full-time equivalent for my studies is 4 years and WES evaluated my degree as a 4 year bachelor degree, but as it is shown in the transcript, i started in 2000 and finished in 2007.
so what should I put in "Complete/full academic years"? 4 or 7 ?

Did IELTS and WES and submitted my and my spouse scores. Figure since I am in Jamaica that the lack of Canadian experience is working against me. Any advice would helpful

You could try for a provincial nomination, which gets you 600 additional points. From what I've read in the forums most PNs are exhausted for this year and will restart from early next year.
Alternatively you can try and improve IELTS scores if you and your wife don't have a CLB9 or CLB10 already.
The last option ofcourse is to try and get a LMIA supported job which is again 600 additional points, but is probably the most difficult to get (esp from outside Canada).

Ontario contacts you directly through your EE profile. Since your score is well above 400, your chances are very bright to get a notification of interest from Ontario. What's your NOC btw?

I have heard from a lot of ppl in NOC 2173 and 2174. Not sure about other NOCs though
