Hello,

I am new here. I'm filling up my express entry profile and would like some help please. I studied and completed my bachelor degree in 2016 here in Canada. I started the degree in 2010. I was off for a year and some semesters were full time and some were part time.

My question is what should i fill in for the section: Complete/full academic years?

and Full-time/part-time study?

Thank you
Hi,

This depends on what the University called you. Enter what they referred to you as.

Thank you for your reply. The university transcript and other documents does not mention full time or part time. Also, the program was a 4 year program which i started in 2010 and finished in 2016. What should i put?

Hello,

Can you also advice on the Photograph part ?

Can this be taken from anywhere ? I understand that we need to scan it and upload. But whats the purpose of name and details mentioned on the back side ?

All purpose is that I have a DSLR and can click it myself with white background instead of spending $50 on this ? But if it has a logic or purpose, then i will get it done from somewhere. please advise

Thank you
There are 2 photograph requests. The first is for the picture you scan and upload in eAPR. Follow these instructions:

Frame size

  • The final frame size of the photo must be at least 35mm x 45mm.
  • The photographs must show a full front view of the head and tops of shoulders, with the face in the middle of the photograph.
  • The size of the head, from chin to crown, must be between 31mm and 36mm.
  • Digital dimensions are often expressed in pixels or DPI (dots per inch). The physical dimensions in pixels must be at least 420 x 540.
Quality/resolution

If an existing photo is being scanned, the minimum resolution must be 600 pixels per inch.

File format

  • The file may be submitted in JPEG or JPEG2000 format.
  • The final size of the image should ideally be 240 kB (kilobytes), but not less than 60 kB.
  • The image must be in colour (24 bits per pixel) in RGB colour space, which is the common output for most digital cameras.

Request 2, is the one which needs to be taken by a professional photographer. You get it with PPR and you send hard copies together with your passport. Follow these instructions:

Part-time. This does not make a difference. What is important is that you completed the degree.

Hi Experts !

One of the Immigration consultant told me that one who scores 8 and plus band in IELTS gets a priority in ITA. Pls confirm if this is true ?
Hi,

The way your consultant has put it is inaccurate. What happens is that if you get scores of L8 R7 W7 S7 you get more CRS points for language and transferable skills. So people with such high Language score tend to have higher overall CRS scores, which means they tend to get ITAs faster.

Play around with this tool and see: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp

Hope that is clear.

Thanks for reply.

Does this mean that I can upload a digital picture right now which meets the criteria for uploading in eAPR and then later when i get PPR, then get a new one clicked from a professional photographer ?

Thank you again!

Can an applicant apply if he/she stopped work like 2 years back but presently does business?. Though, its possible to get reference letter from employer.

Secondly is it compulsory for applicants to have a linkedin account?

1) Yes. All one needs to have is at least 1 year of skilled work experience (NOC 0,A or B) over the past 10 years. It doesn't need to be current work experience.
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/perm/econ/fsw/minimum.asp

2) No, it is not. Linkedin is social media, IRCC doesn't care about such things.

Last one,
Can I get a pic clicked from a professional person for PPR right now and scan the same to upload it ?

Thanks
Yes, because the 1st instruction just says at least 35mm x 45mm, so it can be bigger. I did that.

The only thing to note is that the 2nd instruction says the picture must be less than 6 months old. You will likely get PPR within 6 months, but if you don't just get new pics.

Hi,

Please l need advice with regards to POF. I was just at my bank a d they send they don't issue letters for immigration or visa purposes. They only print out bank statement and they sign and stamp it.
The manager said they only accept email correspondence from embassy.
Is this ok or how can i go about this?
