Your score in rest of the modules are good. If you are sure that you did really well, would suggest to get Writing module remarked. There are chances that you may get a 0.5 increase. Only go for it if you are really confident. The whole process will take 8 weeks and 50% of normal test fees. If score increases, you will get your money back.
Hi Guys,

I have a question regarding creating EE profile. Let's say if I opt to go for the re-evaluation of my IELTS score then am I not allowed to create a profile using the current results? Do I have to wait until the results of re-evaluation are out? Or, I can create a profile using the current result and later update my scores in EE profile.

Please suggest.

You can create a profile now as long as your current scores are valid and later update your EE profile when you get your new scores.

While selecting the NOC, the duties and responsibilities mentioned in the NOC should be a close match with the actual duties and responsibilities carried out by you at the respective job. You need not match the duties and responsibilities word by word, but the idea is to have the closest match in terms of the spirit of the duties and responsibilities (at least 60%-70% match).

Also, NOC should be selected on the basis of the match of actual duties and responsibilities carried out by you rather than the designation match in the NOC list. If you are not sure of your NOC, write to noc@workingincanada.gc.ca with your job title, duties and responsibilities and educational qualification, they will help you find the closest fit.

While submitting your application to CIC, you can attach the email that you receive from NOC Team along with an LOE.
thanks a lot stanlee..

Hi Experienced Members,

I happened to check my expected CRS scores from the below link:

cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp

Upon checking, I have the below concerns:

I am married having a 1.5 year old child with my spouse as the primary applicant. I chose "Married" as the answer for 1)What is your marital status?

Continuing further, for the question 2)ii.Is your spouse/common-law partner coming with you? I chose "No" as this increases the overall points.

1) Assuming my wife gets the ITA , Will my child get the PR along with my wife?

2) What are the ways I can enter Canada to join them (since I have chosen not to accompany them at this stage ) ?

3) Can I be confident with the scores given in the link given above? Or are there any other links where I can check my expected CRS scores?

Your insights would be highly appreciated!

Thanks

Experts,

Just wanted to know the process of Express entry.

Once we get any PNP Nomination we will get 600 points added to our profile then we will get the invitation from CIC (after our profile picked up in the draw). Again do we need to send all our required documents to CIC or upload the documents with fee specified by CIC, and CIC will do the background check again and if yes how long does it takes to get the CORP.

Thanks,
VJ.

You are correct, once you get nominated and you accept the nomination 600 points will get added your CRS. Once you get ITA, as part of your eAPR, you need to upload scanned copies of all documents that you sent for PNP in addition to latest POF, Medicals and PCC.

Post submission of your eAPR, it takes anywhere between 6-8 months to get your application approved. Sometimes, it gets approved even in 2-3 months, it all depends on your application and the case officer and visa office which is looking into your file.

Once your application is approved and you get visa, you will have to land in Canada before the expiry of your Medicals or visa whichever is earlier.

1. Yes, whomsoever is included in the application and marked as accompanying will get PR if CIC approves your application.

2. By mentioning not accompanying, you stand to gain only with regard to the points, you still need to show proof of funds for all three of you, get Medicals and PCC even if you are not accompanying. If your wife goes ahead with the PR and she and your kid lands in Canada as PR, later she will have to apply under Family/Spouse sponsorship which I have heard takes at least a year or more. In my opinion just for the benefits of points, it is not worth. But, I would leave the decision to you as you know your situation and plans best. May I know, what the CRS is in both the cases?

3. The tool that you have used to calculate your score is reliable. However, please note that the tool asks just some basic questions, for example, work experience is asked in years, while in case of the Express Entry application, it asks in months, so there may or may not a slight variation in the final score depending on your case. Other details are fairly accurate. In my case, the score shown by the tool was the score I got when I created and submitted my Express Entry profile.

Hi Stanlee,

Thanks a ton for the information, you are truly a keeper! However I would like some details on the following points:

Stanlee said:
1. Yes, whomsoever is included in the application and marked as accompanying will get PR if CIC approves your application.
Is there an option while filling the EE profile to choose who can accompany with the primary applicant (In this case my wife) ? Pardon me as Im still at the IELTS and ECA stage so dont really know whats ahead in the EE profile.
2. By mentioning not accompanying, you stand to gain only with regard to the points, you still need to show proof of funds for all three of you, get Medicals and PCC even if you are not accompanying. Proof of funds, Medical and PCC wouldn't be a constraint for all three of us. Is there any other way apart from Family/Spouse sponsorship for me to enter Canada? Like a Students Visa ? As I have plans to do my training in Canada. Please Suggest Sure with me accompanying its 460 and without its 474. Do you think with the current trends in draws, 474 would be a good score to get selected without job offer?

3. The tool that you have used to calculate your score is reliable. Thank you , I shall go with the link then :)
