Thanks DuskyBlue. No changes yet and ECAS is down again. Hope something changes for good. My BG chek hasn't even changed to started even though I provided all documents beginning of September.
I'll keep waiting and hopping good and hard.
Well, that's a perfectly normal waiting time. I'd expect your BG check mid-late December.

Thanks a lot again DuskyBlue!!!!! Hope your right. :D

What was your longest stay in china? If it was less than 6 months, you will not require a PCC

Thanks man. I have had 6 visits to China and only the one in 2008 was about 9 months in a row and the others are just one month or two. I suppose only single trip that is longer than 6 months is required to have the police certificate, right? Many thanks!

If you answer yes, you will have to produce the proof of relationship, so better leave it.

Hello

I am applying for ECA for my certificate and I have arranged my institute to send PHD transcript directly and all other transcripts are provided to my brother for delivery who lives in Canada. I need to know which all transcript/documents, I need to submit and do i need to submit coloured photocopy of passing certificate as I have read somewhere but forgot now.
Further can my brother in Canada submit all other documents directly. Please let me know the procedure in detail as I got confused reading WES website.

Thanking you in anticipation.

(1)my reference letter from the employer was issued in March 2015. Is it ok if i upload the same reference letter? I am still working in the same company...also, i will be attaching my current provident fund statement for POF which will have current date and it will be on the company's letter-head...
Because getting the reference letter once again from the employer is not easy and will put me in an awkward position...

(2)i have been working in the same company for last 10 years and in these 10 years i have been promoted to 3 different positions. While filling up the forms in MyCIC account i mentioned these 3 different positions as my experience. Therefore in documents checklist the system created three different upload boxes for three different roles for the reference letter to be uploaded. Since my whole experience is with the same company, my reference letter contains all the details of all three positions in a single letter according to CIC format. Therefore i am planning to upload the same reference letter to all the three uploading boxes in the uploading section. Is this ok? will this work?

friends, please give your suggestions on these queries...
thanks.

You can upload the same letter and also attach the paystubs corresponding to that position you were working against the respective upload boxes.

It's all on the CIC site: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/index.asp

But...

(Please note that this info does not apply to the Federal Skilled Trades Program)

1) Determine your eligibility by doing this CIC quiz http://www.cic.gc.ca/ctc-vac/ee-start.asp

2) Get your language test(s) done. You must get at least CLB 7 in each of the four sections for the Federal Skilled Worker (FSW), Provincial Nomination Program (PNP) or Canadian Experience Class (CEC) streams. But getting CLB 10 gives you maximum points for language.

How does CLB match back to the language tests? That info is here --> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/language/charts.asp

3) Get your qualifications assessed by doing an Education Credential Assessment. Details here --> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/assessment.asp

4) Determine the code that best applies to you on the National Occupation Classification (NOC) list http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/noc.asp

The occupation must be NOC 0, A, or B for FSW or CEC.

5) When you have those in hand you create your express entry profile. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/profile.asp and register for the Job Bank http://www.jobbank.gc.ca/home-eng.do?lang=eng

You'll be given points based on your age, education, number of years work experience, and language skills. The points system is detailed here --> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/express-entry/grid-crs.asp

You'll be in a pool with thousands of other applicants http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/pool.asp

Of course, the more points you have the better. The max is 1200, with 600 of those points coming from your ability to snag a PNP or a job offer with a very hard to get Labour Market Impact Assessment http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/work/employers/lmo-basics.asp

For CEC applicants, the max is 600 but someone who has no work experience in Canada who is only eligible for FSW can only get up to 520 points.

6) Finally, wait for your invitation to apply (ITA). But in the interim you will need to do the following:

a) Have your application fee (C$550 each for principal applicant and spouse) and right of permanent resident fee (C$490 each for principal applicant and spouse) ready
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/fees.asp

b) Identify how you will provide proof of funds http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/funds.asp

c) check out what is required for the police certificates http://www.cic.gc.ca/English/information/security/police-cert/index.asp

d) find out how long it takes to get a date for the medical exam. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/medical/medexams-perm.asp

e) contact previous and current employers about them providing job letters. You must have at least 12 months of full-time, or an equal amount in part-time, skilled work experience. Full-time work means at least 30 hours of paid work per week. Work experience while you were a full-time student does not count.

f) research cities in the province(s) where you want to live.
Dear Forum Members
Quoting Yam Power's post, I have something to know... I am from Bangladesh and have required IELTS score and assessed my qualification. Now my concern is..how can I get the job offer. So much I got impression from all writings from you, it will not be possible even hope for any least positive without getting a job offer. The big question is....is it really possible to make an entry in the job market without having any Canadian qualifications?
Please let me know if there is any way to get an job offer.

Hi experts,

Need your help again. just received ITA today. But there is a problem. I was changing some of my information of my EE profile yesterday and before submitting my profile I saw that I got ITA. So, I could not submit my profile and in my profile row 'Details' box of my CIC account shows 'update not submitted' and in the 'view submitting profile' status shows 'update' not transmitted.

In this situation, what to do? should I continue the application or decline and wait for next draw after submitting the profile application?

My score is 979.

Thanks in advance.
best
Nazmun
