Hello friends,

Just got the ITA on the 99th draw, however I think they had a mix up of my name and my husband's name !
The account is on my name, the applicant is my name too. However the welcome page; candidate name is my husband (??)

And now the ITA is on my husband name with all CRS calculated based on my information ! What should I do ? Decline and then create another profile ? Or contact them to understand why ? Or continue to apply and send the LOE saying they had a mix up of name ?

Thanks a lot !!!

Hello everyone, thanks for answering the question I posted earlier on this blog. However, permit me to clear my doubt on this: my wife got ITA under express entry on 22 Aug 18 and I am willing to accompany the family. I am a military personnel and not willing to resign my job now because I am presently on a UN peacekeeping mission. My plan is to accompany them to Canada (to allow me get PR) while I return back to my home country to continue my military Job to a point when I will later resign and join them afterwards. I have heard that being a military personnel will attract more security checks (any useful information regarding the security checks apart from Police Clearance). What are my chances to pull through this with the immigration officer in view of the fact that I am still in the service (no evidence of resignation to present). I need useful advice. We have not submitted our application because of this confusion. Thanks.

Hello guyz,

I am from India. I have got 7.5 in IELTS and have got 8.9 years of IT experience. I am a graduate (4 year program) in Computer Science. Even I have got my brother there as a permanent resident in Toronto. Still I am not crossing 380. What more do I need to do in order to reach 440+ ?

What is your age, IELTS each band score, education credentials? Did you get ECA done?

you need to improve on your IELTS scores. Ensure to have band score 8 in listening and 7 in the rest. that should boost your score.

Hi,
Require expert's advice - regarding gap during work.
I've got a gap of six months during my work experience. The reason is, I was in the process of settling down in India from Singapore.
Details:
6th June 2011 to 30th Sept 2015 - Account Development ins Shipping and Logistics (different NOC)

GAP - 1st Oct 2015 to April 10th 2016

April 11th 2016 to Present - working as Business Analyst (NOC 2171) - 2.6 years work experience

I'm aware, that i should showcase proofs and docs in regards to study and work from age 18 till present.
Can someone kindly advice, is it mandatory to project this work gap or is there any other section in e-APR to mention this?

Hi! I'm from Honduras and recevied my ITA on February 17th. For my documents not issued in English I already have certified translations and affidavits for all of them done by the Honduran Ministry of Foreign affairs but they didnt provide any certified copies of the original spanish documents. My question is, do I need to get a certified copies of the original Spanish documents or can I just scan and upload the originals?
Did you get AOR or PPR? I am also from Honduras... DM me if needed

Hi Guys! Been coming back on this forum after a long time. Hope all of you are doing great.

Just a quick question. My profile got expired in April and I just re-created and submitted my new profile yesterday. Since I was already registered with the job bank with the same email , do I need to register with job bank again or does the same old registration works that I did with my previous profile. I have checked the messages after my profile was submitted and I have not been asked to register with the job bank again. Anyone?

Hello friends i m just starting the process for express entry, however i m stuck with education evaluation.
I have done two masters MA English 2yrs and EMBA 2yrs from Pakistan's recognized Universities, but my graduation degree is from a private university that was recognized by hec till 2015 but at present in the list not recognized by HEC wes or Iqas.
Plz tell me if IQAS will evaluate my both masters degrees or not.. Since I just need evaluation for my both Masters degrees only.
Thank

Finally after 90 days of recieving my invitation, its going to expire in this week. I recieved my EE invitation in last week of june with a crs of 468.. I decided not to proceed as I dont have any funds to show. I requested many friends and relatives.. but all in vain.
I'm really feeling very helpless...

With 468 you are safe. Why not arrange for funds first and then submit your profile? Keep trying as its not over for you. You can easily get another ITA :)

good luck :)

It's all on the CIC site: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/index.asp

But...

(Please note that this info does not apply to the Federal Skilled Trades Program)

1) Determine your eligibility by doing this CIC quiz http://www.cic.gc.ca/ctc-vac/ee-start.asp

2) Get your language test(s) done. You must get at least CLB 7 in each of the four sections for the Federal Skilled Worker (FSW), Provincial Nomination Program (PNP) or Canadian Experience Class (CEC) streams. But getting CLB 10 gives you maximum points for language.

How does CLB match back to the language tests? That info is here --> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/language/charts.asp

3) Get your qualifications assessed by doing an Education Credential Assessment. Details here --> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/assessment.asp

4) Determine the code that best applies to you on the National Occupation Classification (NOC) list http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/noc.asp

The occupation must be NOC 0, A, or B for FSW or CEC.

5) When you have those in hand you create your express entry profile. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/profile.asp and register for the Job Bank http://www.jobbank.gc.ca/home-eng.do?lang=eng

You'll be given points based on your age, education, number of years work experience, and language skills. The points system is detailed here --> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/express-entry/grid-crs.asp

You'll be in a pool with thousands of other applicants http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/pool.asp

Of course, the more points you have the better. The max is 1200, with 600 of those points coming from your ability to snag a PNP or a job offer with a very hard to get Labour Market Impact Assessment http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/work/employers/lmo-basics.asp

For CEC applicants, the max is 600 but someone who has no work experience in Canada who is only eligible for FSW can only get up to 520 points.

6) Finally, wait for your invitation to apply (ITA). But in the interim you will need to do the following:

a) Have your application fee (C$550 each for principal applicant and spouse) and right of permanent resident fee (C$490 each for principal applicant and spouse) ready
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/fees.asp

b) Identify how you will provide proof of funds http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/funds.asp

c) check out what is required for the police certificates http://www.cic.gc.ca/English/information/security/police-cert/index.asp

d) find out how long it takes to get a date for the medical exam. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/medical/medexams-perm.asp

e) contact previous and current employers about them providing job letters. You must have at least 12 months of full-time, or an equal amount in part-time, skilled work experience. Full-time work means at least 30 hours of paid work per week. Work experience while you were a full-time student does not count.

f) research cities in the province(s) where you want to live.

Thank you for your very informative response. I am in the process of applying for my ECA and I am a bit confused. I have a Bachelors of laws degree from the University of London and a Legal Education Certificate (2yrs duration) from Hugh Wooding Law School, the only certifying body for attorneys to be called to the bar in my country.
