Hi Friends,

Need some expert advise!!!

I and my wife have evaluated our profile for Express entry and overall we are getting 325 points, and if i evaluate my points singly i am getting around 345 points.
My question : Can i apply singly at the movement ( will be declaring that i am married and my spouse will not accompany me at the movement ) i will be sponsoring her later once i get settled in Canada.
Please advise if it is possible legally.

Many thanks,
Sri

Of course not.. There's a reason why the system calculates differently between single and non-single

Hansdza,
Of course yes! The OP can totally apply by him/herself (i.e. without including their spouse in the application) as long as they state that is married but the spouse will not be accompanying him/her to Canada. The system will grant them more points for not bringing the spouse (just like if he/she were applying as single).

To the OP, Sri_dodge:
I however, don't see the point on applying by yourself since in both cases your CRS is below 400 points so chances are you might not be getting an ITA anytime soon. If you choose to apply without your spouse and sponsor them after you land as a PR you can do that but it is a longer process than EE PR application that it can take up to 24 months (I believe). Perhaps, you might want to start finding ways to improve further your score to ensure an ITA either way.

Wish you all the best in your future application!

Ups.. Correction

Yep according to CRS, different point applies if your spouse is coming with you or not. I just remembered from similar post
