Hello Friends,

I just started new job on work permit after finish my studies. I am working on the position of "Financial Service Representative". This job is under NOC 6235. I want to know, Is there any particular hourly wages are fixed to complete this 1 year job experience or minimum yearly income, we have to show in file and in a 1 year period, how the hours will count?

Thank You

If you are on PGWP, you do not qualify for the job offer points

Can anyone tell me, is it necessary to work in one NOC to claim 1 year experience (in canada) points in Express Entry. or can we show two NOCs to claim 1 year experience in canada. I know this is possible in CEC but i dont know if this is also applicable in Express ENtry

Thanks

You just need 1560 hours. I don't think the income matters.

There is no wage requirement for CEC. You just can't be working for free.

Regarding the answer above you not only need the 1560 but you also need 12 months of work experience, meaning that even if you complete those hours within let's say 10 months you would still need to work for 2 more months to get the points for a full year of work experience.

Cheers :)

How does vacation time taken affect the one year calculation? I will be going on vacation for 3 weeks later this month and my pgwp is exactly one year.

An allowance for a reasonable period of vacation time will generally be made in calculating the period of qualifying work experience (e.g., a two-week period of paid vacation leave within a given 52-week period in which the applicant was engaged in qualifying work experience). An allowance for normal vacation time during a period of qualifying work experience cannot be used as a substitute or proxy for meeting the in-Canada element of the work experience requirement (i.e., work experience obtained outside Canada will not be considered as though the applicant had been on a period of vacation in order to be counted as part of the period of in-Canada work experience). While officers will account for a reasonable period of vacation time in calculating the period of qualifying work experience in Canada, each application is considered on its own merits with a final decision based on a review of all the information available to the officer at the time of decision.

I too just posted my EE profile - CRS@471 under the same occupation and NOC 6235.
Are you working for one of the big 5? If you are, and it's similar to the company I work for, you work 37.5 hours/ week = 1950 hours/ year which means you have sufficient room for vacation.

That's not how it works.

Please elaborate?
What I meant was that my paystub shows 37.5 hours/ week - so even after taking my paid vacation, I will still have more than the required 1560 hours at the end of a 1year period. Am I missing something?

CIC considers full time 30 hours/week, any hours of work beyond that (in a week) will not be counted towards any calculations.

Oh yeah, I'm fully aware that.

What I meant with my calculation post was that even though blessedchild plans on taking 3 weeks vacation, if his job is similar to my company (in terms of hours) then even after taking his vacation he will still be at or more than 1560 hours at the end of the one year period (satisfying CIC's definition of one year work-experience in terms of both hours as well as actual period of 1 year)

Still wrong.

Any time accrued over and above 1560 hours cannot compensate for any 'extra' vacation time. Even if OP works 1950 hours, that would still be counted only as 1560 hours.

Agreed 100%... which means that my writing skills are a lot poorer than I imagined so I will just shut up :P
