Hi everyone, I have a situation here, I applied for express entry and waited for 5 months, suddenly I got a decision from CiC that my application was refused due to experience and language test. I have all my language test thru Celpip marked at 9-8 and with regards to work experience, I work as a Supervisor since 2013 from the day I landed here in Canada. I am very confused, can I appeal my case? Please advice.

How long ago did you take CELPIP? What evidence did you provide to prove your work experience?

What did the exact refusal say?

You'll need to provide full details in order for people here to assist.

+1

Please provide more details.

To be exact, the officer cited the following: temporary status during qualifying period of CEC, language test for threshold english or french; qualifying canadian skilled experience . As mentioned earlier I passed my Celpip with marks of 9-8 and supervisor position since 2013. Very frustrating.

Celpip test was dated May 2016 only

Did you take the correct CELPIP?

"CELPIP has two different tests. You must take the “CELPIP-General” test to support your immigration application. We do not accept the “General-LS” test for Express Entry."

Can you identify what problem you might have had with your status? If you did not hold valid status at some point, it might have invalidated some of your work experience.

But usually the VO will send a bit more detail, unless you care to share that with us, it's just a wild guessing game.

what is your experience about and what is your wage? They might refuse your application because they thought that your manager may not have enough financial and power to hire you as a supervisor. Are you working under NOC B or NOC A? If its NOC B, your manager is very important during the applications
