Express entry profile - work history - same company, same NOC, but promotion?

So I was with the same company for 2 years, during which I received 3 promotions (under the same NOC).
When I create my profile, do I need to list 3 entries (because my job title is different after promotion), or is it ok to just condense them into the same line?
I am doubtful about this because I have got 1 reference letter that covers all my 3 different titles, during the post-ITA stage, uploading the same letter three times (once for each separate entry) seems kind of silly.
Does anyone have an idea how to go about this?

Hey

How did you end up giving your details?
I have same situation and looking for some sure answer.

I have 4 years of work experience in one company and I got two promotions there in the following order:
Designation1 worked for 11 months
promotion1 Designation2 worked for 3 years
promotion2 Designation3 worked for 1 month
I was at Designation3 for 1 month and then left the company.
Job responsibilities and NOC remained same across all designations.
The reference letter that I got from the company only states my last designation which is Designation3
"This letter is to confirm that the person was employed with the company, full time (45 Hours per week) in Location X from joining date to end date(4 years). He was designated at Designation3. His annual salary was XXXXXXX."
"Jobs and Responsibilities:
1....
2....
3......."

Question 1:
Should I include only one section in Profile with designation as Designation3?
Question 2:
Do I need to request company to mention the promotions in reference letter?
Question 3:
How did you present these details in LOE?

Hi please help me with the below concern,

Applying for Express Entry under CEC:

In my primary occupation, I got promoted so I had two titles in that job under the same NOC. The HR did not create two different sections on the experience letter. However, I did ask HR to include at the top that I was hired at position X at XX salary and then promoted to position Y at YY salary effective from ZZ date.

However, the number of hours worked, type of employment(Full time), Benefits and roles and responsibilities have been mentioned only once in the letter. Is that okay or should I have got the letter to repeat the roles and responsibilities and all other information twice for the two titles?

Any help would be much appreciated!

Few options depending on the following:

  1. Experience/Job duties letter from the employer (may list all designations or only the last designation)
  2. Do you have proof for promotions? Example. Promotion Letters, your designation is printed on Paystub
  3. Did you work in multiple countries?
Now,
  • If you have (1) and (2), you can create multiple entries showing different designations for the same employer
    • You will upload the same Experience/Job duties letter across multiple entries
    • Show proof of designation for specific entry
    • Show paystubs/tax documents etc. related to specific entry time period
  • If you have (3), you also need to show specific entry county-wise

So, if someone has say 3 designations across 2 countries, entries will look like this:

  • Employer 1 - Designation 1 - Country 1 - Time Period
  • Employer 1 - Designation 2 - Country 1 - Time Period
  • Employer 1 - Designation 2 - Country 2 - Time Period
  • Employer 1 - Designation 3 - Country 2 - Time Period

If someone has - say 3 designations in 1 country, entries will look like this:
  • Employer 1 - Designation 1 - Country 1 - Time Period
  • Employer 1 - Designation 2 - Country 1 - Time Period
  • Employer 1 - Designation 3 - Country 1 - Time Period
OR, show one single entry for the whole employment period with the last designation (which will reflect on your Experience Letter)
  • Employer 1 - Designation 3 - Country 1 - Time Period

thanks @canadasj. That is super helpful.
two quick questions -
1. If I didn't write 3 positions, but just my last position when filling up the EE profile (pre ITA). Will it hurt me if I update it while filling up the application(post ITA)?
2. My last promotion was on 26th November. But I have been at the company for more than 2 years working in the same NOC. How do I check if I tick mark the continuity clause?

Hi @hello_world_12

  1. I responded to your independent post, so please review it
  2. I am not able to understand what you mean by "How do I check if I tick mark the continuity clause?" - Can you explain with an example or any link/screenshot as applicable?

Thanks a lot. Your reply to my post is super helpful.

I'm referring to the one year continuous work clause for express entry.
For example, I last got promoted a couple of weeks ago. Although I have worked at the same company, it hasn't been one year in my current position. I don't know if that would impact my CRS points.

You can check specific links for more details, for "skilled work experience" it says obtained in the last 10 years, for "Canadian skilled work experience" it says obtained in the last 3 years.
