Dear everyone,

I am not eligible since I just turned out 42 years old this year. My scores are 66 even though I have a brother who is currently PR in Canada and achieved max points in IELTS. My working experience is only 2-3 years continuously under the same NOC in the past, but I worked for several years more under different NOC. Then, I worked part time when I was a full time student. I am a single applicant (divorced), and my education is bachelor degree. My fund is about $50,000

One of things I can do to achieve one more points is either to get a higher education (Master degree), but It's impossible because it will takes another year, & my point will be decrease one more point next year when I reach 43 years old. So, that pathway will be worthless. Another thing is to get points from second language test, but I doubt that I can be successful to go that route because learning new language especially in my age is extremely difficult.

I evaluated myself for CRS, and I got 434 points. What other pathway that I can do? I feel I am losing hope...... But I don't want to give up because I still have one more year to make it to 67 points to be eligible for Express Entry. Please help.... Thank you.

Calculate your score here - http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-factors.asp

Minimum required score is 67. If you are falling less, try to analyze where you can improve on.

If you do not know French at all and you are planning to learn it from scratch, then as far as I know, it will take more than a year of constant learning to achieve the desired score for the French Test.

Sadly if people still fall short of 67, there is no other option I am aware of to be eligible for the EE program.

Good luck.
