Hi!

I had created my CIC profile in December 2015 with all the criteria being met and my profile score was 340 at that point of time. During that period the funds required for the family of 3 people was $18300 CAD. Now previous month I had changed my job and hence to update my documents and submit the new scanned to the profile I had updated the profile.

After the updation I got the mail stating my profile is ineligible for the reasons stated in mail. On finding the root cause I came to know that there was an update in the funds requirement in month of March 2016 and it was raised to $18617 CAD and hence the profile has got ineligible. But during this period I had got a nomination from OINP and I have sent my documents to them along with the DD of $1500 CAD, this can be active any time as the time line is about to finish now.

I need the inputs
1. whether I can get my profile re-activated or not?
2. If yes how can that be done?
3. What will be the impact of this on my file.
4. In case OINP accepts my file how will I get updated.
5. And will this change in the requirement of funds have an impact on my requirements as till now I have seen that the rules change is not applicable for the old applicants so can somebody help me on this.

Thanks,

Dhruvin

I need the inputs
1. whether I can get my profile re-activated or not? - No, you cannot reactivate an ineligible profile, once the profile becomes ineligible, you will have to create a new profile.
2. If yes how can that be done? - Create a new profile, just like you did the first one.
3. What will be the impact of this on my file. - After you have created a new profile, you will have to intimate OINP about your situation and let them know why you have created a new profile. You will have to request them to link your new EE profile to your existing nomination application. This has happened to few people in the past and OINP has linked their application to the new EE profile.
4. In case OINP accepts my file how will I get updated. - Once you have intimated them, they will link your new EE profile to your existing nomination application. Once documents are successfully verified, you will get nomination in your new EE profile where once you accept it, you will get 600 points added to your current score in the new EE profile.
5. And will this change in the requirement of funds have an impact on my requirements as till now I have seen that the rules change is not applicable for the old applicants so can somebody help me on this. - For funds, you will have to update your new EE profile with at least CAD 18,617 or more than CAD 18,617, otherwise your profile will be come ineligible again, But as per OINP update dated April 8, 2016, they have mentioned that for applicants who have submitted an application prior to May 6, 2016 your application will be evaluated against the settlement funds requirement that was in place at the time of application. That is, you will need to meet the LICO requirement of 2015. But whenever you submit your eAPR (post ITA) then the new 2016 LICO will apply.

The following was the response sent to an applicant whose profile had become ineligible.
If the profile on which you received a Letter of Interest became ineligible, you have to advise our office.

The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) will continue to process your application if you create a new Express Entry profile, however, to do so we require you to provide the following within 30 calendar days of receipt of this notice, or if you have not yet submitted your application, with the application:

1. The Express Entry number/job seeker validation code for your new profile;
2. A copy of the letter you have received from Citizenship and Immigration Canada acknowledging the new profile; and
3. A letter explaining why you updated your profile and a list of the additional or updated information you provided in your new Express Entry profile
.
Thanks,

Dhruvin

Thanks a lot Stanlee!!

Can you do me a favour by sending me a draft letter to OINP about reactivation of linkages to express entry for my reference.

It would be of a great support.

Thanks
