Hi All,
I was wondering if any of you have had a similar situation before. I have received an ITA under Federal Skilled Workers program. However, my spouse has been detected with extra-pulmonary tuberculosis (EPTB), also called Koch's abdominal tuberculosis, and is currently undergoing treatment which will last for the next 6 months. Note that EPTB, unlike the common TB, is NOT infectious and therefore does not pose any risk to any residents of Canada. Moreover, the chest Xray is normal and sputum test (AfB) results are negative, since it was a very weak infection.
We are concerned whether this will be grounds for rejection of our application even though this TB is non-infectious.
Cheers,
AB.
