Hi,

I need some clarification and will really appreciate if someone can help me out. I am currently in Toronto working a NOC 2282 User support Technician job full time permanent. In December 2016 I should be completing my 1 year experience required by certain PR program in Canada and I think my NOC is NOC B as my job is product support analyst.

I am in Canada since August 2012 and came as international student. I did 3 year diploma in Accounting Finance and now I am on a PGWP.

My Question is my 1 year experience is getting completed in December 2016 and I am getting married in Pakistan at the same time.

1) What is the best way in my situation to apply PR and make sure I am able to bring my wife in Canada asap?

2) If I apply for our PR together, while application processes will I be able to call her on visit visa? I am under high pressure to make sure that after my marriage there is not a long wait before she can come to Canada.

3) How long is the current processing times going on for such cases?

4) How likely are the international students express entry changes going to happen and will it impact my case in anyway?

I would really appreciate some clarification as these question are really stressing me out

Are you sure that you want to get marriage before getting PR? This is because your points will be lower if you get marriage.

You can calculate the points by yourself. The current CRS point is over 480. If you and your wife can get over 480, it should be fine. It may or may not be lower by Dec.

With your profile, you can get max 460 with no wife. If you get married, you get abt 430 or lower (unless your wife gets maximum points for herself by getting IETLS and ECA ...). It's up to you to consider which is more important.

Thank You for the reply and I really appreciate it.

At this time bringing my wife to Canada asap is most important and since my marriage cant be delayed I guess I should pray that I get the points additional with the upcoming rule changes.

Does it make difference that I apply for Express entry before my marriage, and after getting ITA, add my wife?
