Hi
Looks like the information about Police Check on CIC website is NOT up to date:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/intro.asp

it says that it you need police check is you spent 6 or more months IN A ROW in another country, but rules changed on February 11 2016 and now it;s 6 months in total:

http://www.dalelessmann.com/news/blog/changes-respect-police-certificates-and-express-entry-completeness-checks

Now I'm in a situation where I need to get PCC from USA and UK

EDIT:
I found it on CIC:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/updates/2016/2016-02-11.asp

Many candidates including me had posted these links in Feb 2016 itself.
Anyway, a repeat is always helpful for those who are still not aware of these changes.

Does it mean that if I've spent 180 days in total in a certain country after my 18th birthday, (regardless of whether I have actually resided there or not) I will have to get PCC from that country?
I'm not sure if such country would grant me PPC based on that.

Yes, you need to obtain PCC from a country in which you have spent a total of 180 days or more - not necessarily in a row.
