I've been reading the new articles on the immigratemanitoba website, there is one titled "Can I use both Express Entry and MPNP?", it confused me a bit.

My question is: Can I first do my Express Entry profile in 2015 then apply to the MPNP and if I get nominated, update my existing profile with the nomination certificate?

The immigratemanitoba article seems to imply that Manitoba needs to search Express Entry profiles and nominate applicants rather than the applicants applying to the MPNP themselves.

You need to be already in the pool to be selected by any province in Canada and give you a nomination.

With your nomination, CIC promise to give you the permanent residence in 6 months.

But Saskatchewan for example has 2 options

select people from the pool (1000 applicants)
allow people to apply directly to the province (500 applicants)

each province will announce in the future how will work...

Dear Noobish,

As per my understanding, both the way could be possible. Firstly, You need to apply on Manitoba Immigration, Ones you receive your Nomination letter, You would be add your certificate to your profile or create profile which would be adding additional 600 points so automatically you will be select in next draw.

Even If you create your profile first on EE you wont able to achieve your score to get PR. until and unless you would have additional 600 points from Nomination or Job employment.

Moreover,EE would be not serve as first come first basis so you need to have enough points to get PR.

this is my understanding but we may need to check in January 15 for detail explanations form CIC.

I would suggest please join http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/mpnp-application-batch-2015-t251170.0.html
for more details and update and lest discuss so will get benefit to all MPNP applicants.

Cheers
Best of luck

I have studied in Ontario and have been in Winnipeg, Manitoba since mid December 2013. I have started work for International Marketing Group in January 2014 and quit there by the end of January 2015. Right now I have started work for Shaw Communications as a Technical Service Representative prior to this I have worked as a Call Centre Representative for my previous employer for almost over a year. Am I still eligible to apply for MPNP Program. Please help I am quite a bit confused as I am getting different answers from different people.

Recently I have done CELPIP and got Listening 10, Reading 9, Writing 7 and Speaking 8.
