Suggest to take some time to research and gather knowledge individually instead of being a shill. Got to have extra skills.
One becomes ineligible for CRS points if 8 months are not done in Canada. Period. Good luck.
i.e : Some Schools offering in person classes require a pre-existing study permit application for at least 3 to 6 months to apply for a program.
One can't blame anything just because the COVID-19 situation is overpowering merit.
Universities like the University of Toronto and McGill are all operating online so not sure what you are talking about competitive universities being offline. And no, doing your courses online won't impact your job opportunities if you are doing a good program. Everyone is in the same situation right now. In fact all networking events are online as well.
I was referring to the courses being competed fully 100% online outside Canada. A bit here and there is not a big deal at all for anyone. Online learning has become a taboo.

You are aware that the diplomas/degrees don't mention "online" anywhere, right? Unless you explicitly took an online-only course which is an entirely differently matter.
No it's mentioned on the transcripts for some of them. VO will assess during PGWP/CRS issuance to check whether online delivery falls within the limit. Only courses without practicals can be learnt 100% online, it's a niche area.
Most of the programs offered by colleges and unis are online unless coursework require practical skills to be taught or it demand students to practice in a lab. All of the programs relating to business, accounting etc. are taught online at the moment as it doesn’t require students to experiment in a lab or work on a machinery lol even if you get enrolled in mba in uni of Toronto, they’re still going to hold classes online. Job opportunities are still going to be the same unless you have coop in your program! If you’re attending networking events, making connections and have a good gpa through out your program, I don’t think an employer would reject you just bc you studied online lmao that’s just absurd. Surround yourself with positivity and people who actually know about the situation in Canada.

Agreed. One of the best online-only degrees available these days is GeorgiaTech's Master's of Science in Computer Science. Funny thing is that thanks to covid the "taboo" of online learning has actually gone down substantially.
You're moving the goalposts. I was strictly talking about the "companies" bit in your post. No, companies will not know even if you did an online-only degree. No Canadian company demands marksheets or transcripts and degrees usually leave off the word 'online'.
The value of Canadian education may go down if the majority prefers to complete the entire course outside Canada and I think only Fall 2020 students are entitled for online learning because they went through a lot. Maybe you have trouble comprehending, doesn't follow logic. Based on my experience previously working for a Canadian MNC back home; employers do the necessary homework before hiring. Do try to understand the context. May not entertain such posts since it's getting repetitive now. Had forewarned regarding the same earlier as Taboos can't go down or up, its a word used to describe static things. Why does one need online learning when everything is normal i.e no lock downs, reduced processing times, no travel restrictions etc. Though they have extended the date this update may not benefit much as it's implemented too late, just a marketing strategy to fill in empty colleges. And the rule is still unclear regarding the 50% policy for CRS/PGWP. Good luck seeking an admission.

I am a student just like you travelling in March, 99% it'll be implemented. I have prepared myself. Let's hope that a miracle happens soon.Man just tell me the 2000 CAD thing is not for international students with a DLI approved COVID plan.
Exactly! Clearly Ironclad doesn't know what he is talking about! Colleges/ Universities holding classes online due to Covid-19 has nothing to do with the admission requirements or the student's ability or merit! The same requirements pre- covid apply to get admitted into your program. Furthermore, those students already in Canada are still forced to study online if their programs don't require in-person labs/ practicals.
