Let's wait a few days. Since we submitted the profile before the draw came out, we might still be in it. My profile has not been updated yet though. Fingers crossed!

We will surely get next ita

Well, immigration process is stressful in itself. When stories like this are thrown around, it might simply aggravate the situation of people waiting anxiously. I have already said this a couple of times previously; Once, it was to someone who was complaining that Canada is "too cold" and it is onlky possible to find a job in a warehouse etc. It disappointed me to see negativity being spread around.

[size=10pt]Tell me about it. Just despise negativity. What the hell are they doing in this forum anyway?

isn't the forum for those who are in the process of applying?

He better create a profile with those who are already there and discuss how they can help each other, rather than trying to discourage others. There should be a solution to his issue, that is if, and if he change his mentality and work hard to fix the issue. Discouraging others won't help, will it?

Good luck guys, and please DON'T GIVE UP!!!

Hi, I am compiling the documents for my e-APR and wanted to check if my ID card (issued back home) should be in English? The front of the card is both in English and Urdu where my name, DOB, etc are specified. Only the back where address is mentioned in only in Urdu. Should I get a translated copy attached or would it work? Please advise. thanks

Hi Everyone,

I am quite new to this forum, and I have been following discussions actively. I have a few questions and it will please me to have some clarifications.

I have just concluded my double degree program in France (been in France since September 2015). I recently checked out the Express Entry and other programs, and I am sure to achieve score of at least 460 CRS points. Hence, I have recently registered for the WES credentials assessment and IELTS.

However, my concerns are:
1. Can I submit my application for the permanent residency program (believing I will get an ITA, when i create my Express Entry profile) from France or do I have to go back to my country of origin and submit it from there?
2. On the issue of proof funds, can I use family sponsorship/support?
3. I have various experiences in the field of Management. I have worked as a Procurement & Logistics Manager for a few months, an IT/Management Consultant for 3 years, and as an Administrative Officer for 2 years in a Federal University. I can get the necessary supporting documents for the last couple of years (Administrative Officer & IT/Management Consultant), my question is which of the NOC should I work with?

Please, your help is highly appreciated. This will enable me plan to extend my stay here in France for this purpose, or better yet go back to my country and work from there. Although in reality, the processing time is a lot faster from France, than my country of origin (Nigeria).

Thank you :) :)

What ID card is this? Under which section are you planning to submit this ID card?

You can submit it from anywhere you want. Your choice.

2. On the issue of proof funds, can I use family sponsorship/support?

The funds should be in your name in your bank account. If you do not have sufficient funds, you can ask your parents to gift it to you. You can use this (You do have to submit a gift deed though).

3. I have various experiences in the field of Management. I have worked as a Procurement & Logistics Manager for a few months, an IT/Management Consultant for 3 years, and as an Administrative Officer for 2 years in a Federal University. Its up to choose which NOC you want to go with but -

You receive maximum points for 3 years of FWE. So, your last 2 years of WE is fine but you might have to mention about your first job and submit documentation for it so that you get maximum points for WE.

OR

You can just mention your first job and leave your second job out of the work history section. This way, you will have to submit documentation for your first job alone.

Please, your help is highly appreciated. This will enable me plan to extend my stay here in France for this purpose, or better yet go back to my country and work from there. Although in reality, the processing time is a lot faster from France, than my country of origin (Nigeria).

Get Indian PCC from PSK. You don't need to get a Canadian PCC until and otherwise specifically requested by IRCC.

So, I would recommend that you at least be considerate and add the words "In my opinion" and "In my personal experience" when you pen down a sad story like this. I have seen a bunch of such stories on the forum already.

I would request that you STOP discouraging people here. Getting it out is okay, its a good way to cope with worry but using a personal failure to write a demotivating message cannot be tolerated. There is a separate board for finding work in Canada - may be you want to check that and try some leads?

He seems to have come back to the forum after two years and made the same post in multiple threads... seems to be trying to blow off some frustration.

I think the reason is that so many people arrive in Canada with bloated self-worth and unrealistic expectations and when they are unable to get ahead they try to blame it on everything but themselves. And having such a negative mindset really sets everything up for one failure after the next. I am not trying to say that the way the job industry works in Canada is very healthy, but once you've come here as an immigrant all we can really do is to try and rise above, even if the situation is unfairly stacked against you.

Agree with Raj & you! I was almost about to click the "report to moderator" button when I first read it (as i felt that comment was not meant for this forum) but just let it be. The people applying for Canada PR are very well aware of its pros & cons and nothing is ever all roses! So what was the point in writing such a post out here is beyond me!

THANKS A LOT FOR THE RESPONSE, rajkamalmohanram. I am very grateful. I will work on the various advises and suggestions.

Sorry about your situation but this might be your experience - It doesn't have to be the same for others. Just because you weren't able to land a job in your field doesn't mean others can't. It doesn't work that way. Depends on a LOT of factors - degree from IIM might mean nothing in Canada IMO.

Discouraging people from coming to Canada on a public forum like this (built to help people come to Canada) based on a very personal experience is not at all appreciated. I know a few people that did land a job in a month or two after landing. So, I would recommend that you at least be considerate and add the words "In my opinion" and "In my personal experience" when you pen down a sad story like this. Couldn't agree more.

Hi All

I received my ITA on 13th April. Before proceeding any further, i have a doubt to clear...

My name in all the required documents is mentioned without my surname. However, my bank account has my name with surname.

My father name is mentioned with surname in all of my documents.

What could be done in this situation?

Please guide me...

THANKS

Hello there,

I was wondering how long does CIC usually take to respond to additional documents submitted.

I was considered as 'medically inadmissible' on the grounds of 'Excessive demand on social services' as one of my prescribed medication would exceed the government's cost threshold of $6,655 per year by a significant amount.

I submitted additional documents on how I won't be a burden. The decision still lies in the Medical Officer's(MO) hands.

Has anyone an idea on how long approximately the MO takes to make a decision after the additional documents are submitted?

Thanks,
Frank
