guys help required:
i m getting married soon, i m a PR here..
would you guys suggest that my partner apply as a single applicant in Express entry or do i do a spouse application

if he mentions single and does a great job - maximum score he gets is 441..

will he get a PNP

what would you guys suggest please do help..
PNP will mean he will have to go to that province and you'll need to move... Or you'll limit yourselves just to the province you're currently at whcih may severally limit your chances for PT NOI / PNP.

If the draws stay at around 3000 ITAs then it's reasonable to assume that the CRS will continue to drop. It will probably get to 441, but it might take a while. There is a new minister and this next draw should give a hint as to whether he'll start with lower ITA numbers or keep them at the current mark.

I have no idea how long family sponsorship takes these days, but it's probably the easiest, if not the fastest, method as he wont need to do IELTS and ECA and get all the tedious documentation (PoF, Reference letters, etc.) that is required for EE.

Hey All.
I have 11 months of work experience in US. Then I came to Canada on a study permit for Masters. During the summer break, I went back to US and worked 2 months full time (total 13 mnths). All of these experiences fall under NOC A. Am I eligible for FSW?
The part which is throwing me off is that i worked 2 months while on a study permit in Canada.
Any help will be greatly appreciated and +1. I need to create a profile before Wednesday (possible draw) Grin.

If that's all your work experience then you're not eligible.

You need one year of continuous skilled work experience. You fail to meet this requirement as you stopped working after 11 months.

Get a PCC from PSK - This will not mention ANY addresses whatsoever and IRCC considers this valid for the entire country.

i am still confused.
I have entered my wifes work experience in pre ita profile as it was showing incomplete profile if i leave that portion blank at that time.
Now, i have not claimed points for her experience.

In post ita profile forms

Should i enter details in her work history (actually its already added from pre ita peofile)?
Should i enter details in personal history?? Or both??

Is it a case of misrepresentation if i dont enter her work history??

Please reply.... Need expert advice.

Hi rajkamalmohanram, I was uploading documents and I have a question regarding experience letter, I worked for a company for 1 year almost 3 years back and while leaving I did got a experience letter from them which contains all details needed in the present EE requirement. Can I use the same letter ? Or should I get a fresh letter from them?

1) That depends on what jobs you are claiming points for. If you are not claiming points for your previous employer, then you do NOT have to submit reference letter for that employment. The same applies for the current employer.

2) Dependent spouse's work experience doesn't award any CRS points hence this you can remove the work experience of the spouse from the work history section and retain it only in the personal history section (post ITA).
Thank you so much for the reply Raj!
Possibly I didn't ask the first question properly. I mentioned my 5.5 years experience as 2.2 year, 1.3 year and
2 years in three companies. Latest one is 2 years and prior to this 1.3 years. I have got proper reference letter
for both of these which totals to 3.3 years. Should I keep the first 2.2 years and show basic reference letter(only designation, duration of service) or remove it completely. Is there any advantage if I submit proper reference letter for 2.2 years of experience?

A friend of mine has received AOR on 18th Oct, but after that there is no update. Just want to know how much time generally is taken post AOR and what are the other steps in between AOR and final PR stamping.

Whenever possible, always get a fresh letter. If you can't, I suppose you can use the same one IMO.

In this case, you can choose to skip the first work experience from the work history section (and retain it in the personal history section alone post ITA). This way, you do not have to submit documentation for your first job.

You get maximum CRS points for 3 years of work experience. However, you should also make sure that you still have at least 67 points out of 100 in the FSW points grid after removing your first work experience.

You can calculate that here --> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-factors.asp

Look for the RAY OF HOPE threads and the CRS 450 threads for this kind of speculation.

Fact is, if the number of ITAs remain high (around 3000) it's fair to assume that CRS score will continue to lower, but it's impossible to predict by how much or even if they will keep inviting high number of ITAs.
