Hi,

Dilemma in choosing the principal applicant- need your help deciding. Thanks in advance.

Me as Principal applicant:
NOC 2131; CRS 398. (For the 2015-2017 period, the employment outlook is expected to be good for NOC 2131 in Ontario, Courtesy- Job bank in CIC website)

My Husband as Principal applicant:
NOC 2113; CRS 457. (For the 2015-2017 period, the employment outlook for NOC 2113 is expected to be limited in Ontario)

I just stated Ontario because it gives out max. number of PNPs, not that we are only looking at Ontario. We haven't decided yet actually. If you can help us on which province is better for us would be great too !
Generally, you choose the person with the highest CRS. Unless you're aiming for PNP, in which case your choice may depend on which NOCs are in-demand in your chosen province.

Hello everybody, l need your advice. I received interest from Ontario, but l don't have my ECA ready. I reside in USA on h1b, l have a USA bachelor degree, and working on my Master degree. I have start the ECA process with the university of Toronto, but my school won't be able to send my transcripts until after December 17th because l owed them the balance that won't be paid until that time. Now l only have 45 days to submit my OINP application, can l send the application package without the ECA? I have my USA transcripts and diploma.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,

I have paid apprenticeship experience of 1 year in Mechanical Engineer from India. The apprenticeship was not a part of study and I did it after my graduation. Can I get points under express entry for this apprenticeship if I show it under my work experience?

Thanks in advance.

How were you eligible for Express Entry in the first place without an ECA? ECA is required only for foreign degrees/diplomas BTW, not for Canadian degrees/diplomas. This is very confusing - Your EE profile should have been ineligible if you mentioned that you had a foreign credential and you had no ECA.

Could you please give us more details on this?

ECA packages are of 2 types document by document or course by course!!
Up till my understanding i think course by course is needed academic wise if you r applying somewhere and doc by doc is good if you r applying for canadian immigration? please correct me if i am wrong.

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has revamped the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) for its Express Entry immigration selection system. The changes, which had been expected for some time, will have a major effect on candidates for immigration to Canada through the three federal programs managed through Express Entry, namely the Federal Skilled Worker Class, the Federal Skilled Trades Class, and the Canadian Experience Class.

The new instructions on Express Entry, which were published in the government of Canada’s official Gazette, come into force on November 19, 2016.

The significant changes to job offers are:

A qualifying job offer is now worth 200 points if the offer is in an occupation contained in a Major Group 00 of the National Occupational Classification (senior managerial level position). These occupations are:
0011 Legislators
0012 Senior government managers and officials
0013 Senior managers – financial, communications and other business services
0014 Senior managers – health, education, social and community services and membership organizations
0015 Senior managers – trade, broadcasting and other services not elsewhere classified.
0016 Senior managers – construction, transportation, production and utilities
A qualifying job offer is now worth 50 points if the offer is any other qualifying offer of arranged employment.
Previously, qualifying job offers supported by a Labour Market Impact Assessment were worth 600 points under the CRS. As of November 19, there will be new ways of being awarded either 50 or 200 points without the need to obtain a LMIA (though points will continue to be awarded to individuals with a new or existing LMIA). The new regulations also allow the following individuals to be awarded points for a qualifying job offer:

Individuals with a work permit issued under an international agreement, such as the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).
Individuals with a work permit issued under the ‘significant benefits to Canada’ criteria, such as Intra-Company Transfers.
In both above cases, the worker must have been working in Canada for at least one year and the job offer must be made by the same employer named on the work permit.

Hi guys,
Thank you for sharing the information. According to this post, the applicants under the open work permit are not eligible to get 50 points without LMIA.As I am currently under open work permit and a fulltime permanent job offer(with more than a year local work experience),I can not get this point? Does it mean I have to change my status from OWP to WP?How can I do that? How long it would take to change it? Is there somebody with the same situation?

Thank you

Incorrect. ECA packages "are not of 2 types". It is just called "ECA package" and this is for the purpose of immigration to Canada. You should choose that.

Hello guys, I hope someone would be able to answer me here. So I'm on Post-grad work permit in Canada, graduated recently so I do not have the one year Canadian work experience yet (Still searching for a full-time job). However, I have work experience from my home country after I graduated from High school. I worked as an administrative assistant from Mid 2005- August 2008. I want to use this experience to enter the Express entry pool but I have two concerns:

1. In all my previous applications to CIC (Study permit application/renewal, TRV application/Renewal etc) I have never included this work experience in those applications where they ask work history since ten years ago (I just put student). Would it be a problem if I now use this work experience to apply for Express Entry?

2. My salary was paid in cash, so no pay stub, bank statement or you name it. How would I be able to prove this to CIC?

I would highly appreciate it if someone would provide detailed answers to my questions.

Thanks.

Yes yes i got you. thank you
I want to start the process for immigration and i want to start a new bank account in which i will save money for my immigration and show it at later stage when asked. i need to show cic funds of 22000 $. if i start from 5000$ and keep on increasing it every month then when ill ask to show bank statement i will show that. will there be an issue in that? or is it ok? As my account will solely be for immigration. i will not withdraw cash from that.
Also tell me if i have joint account with me spouse , showing tht will have an issue or not?
Plus if i have a land in hand and without selling it can i show it as my proof of funds?

1) Ideally, the entirety funds should be at least 6 months old when you submit your post ITA e-APR. If it is not 6 months old, you might be requested for source.

2) Yes, joint account with spouse is accepted.

3) No, the funds have to liquid. You cannot show immovable assets such as a piece of land as POF.

Should not be an issue, IMO.

The burden of providing proof is on you. You can submit other documentation such as reference letters mentioning all details including your pay scale can be submitted and they might accept that.

I would highly appreciate it if someone would provide detailed answers to my questions.

Thanks.
