Hello Seniors,

I am coming back with another question regarding my quest with POF. I have two FDs in my spouse name which were done by my father in law and he is ready to give us Smiley. I learnt from this forum that we can use FDs as POF. So my question is that can I use these FDs to show to CIC even if it is in my wife's name solely or I should get them done in both of us name. I am thinking not to indulge in the process of making them as joint FDs because of lots of hassles in the banking system in India. I am thinking to prepare an LOE stating that she has FDs in her name and she is co-applicant and ready to invest this money for immigration purposes. Do you think this approach will work or I must get these FDs as joint ones?

Please suggest.

Thanks

Your this approach of writing LOE is fine because if you change FDs into joint account, it will be deposited from current date, so you cannot prove money for at least 6 months.

I am the primary and only applicant for PR. I have funds in my name as fixed deposits of banks, private company's and government bonds in India. This is my money and I pay Income Tax on it, but my parents are second name holders in each of this i.e. first name is mine, second name is my dad and/or mom on the FDs

Now my question is, will this be accepted as the valid proof of funds by the CIC in my PR application?

I have all FDs in my name, but I have second name of my father/mother in each of them. Is that ok?

I did my full time BBA degree (from 2012 to 2015) and I also worked for two years, 32 hours/week (work from home) from 2013 to 2015 and was paid.

Can I count this as work experience for my application to express entry although this was gained concurrently with my full time education.

PLEASE HELP

Hi Guys,

Need some help and advice.

I have a diploma in Engineering of 3 years and a Bachelors of Engineering of 4 years.
I had my done my ECA from WES. WES has mentioned my Diploma Institute as 'Non-Recognized' though the credentials have been assessed.

In my Express Entry Profile, should I select the option as " Two or more certificates, diplomas, or degrees" OR " Bachelor’s degree or other programs".

Also as I have applied for PNP, can I make this change to my profile after I receive nomination or should it be before it only.

Thanks for your replies.

I have the same challenge but I suggest you select just one degree. According to CIC you do not earn any point if your qualification is not recognized.

Hi All,

my question is regarding Proof of funds. I currently work and live in Canada. I applied for my OINP under human capital priorities program and since I work and legally stay in Canada did not have to show Proof of funds but i submitted my bank statements for last 6 months. My question is when I get my ITA from express entry will I have to show proof of funds and meet the required fund requirements??

please Advise.

Thanks,

Hi all,

I am a PhD student and I am getting paid to be a Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant. Does this count as a work experience inside Canada?

IMO, you can use this as POF. Get a letter from your parents stating that they have no objection if you use the funds anyway you see fit. This should work!

Unrecognized credentials do not fetch you any CRS points from what I know. So, you can choose Bachelors.

If this work experience was not in Canada, then IMO, you can count this work experience as long as you can provide documentation that you worked (including the reference letter with roles and responsibilities from your ex-employer).

Yes, IMO. You can count this as work experience but you have to prove you were paid (and submit a reference letter in the format required by CIC). I say this because there is a separate NOC for people on RA/TA (NOC 4012 Post-secondary teaching and research assistants)

@Asivad - Comments?
