On June 6, 2017, the Express Entry system will award 15 points to candidates with siblings in Canada.
To get these points, candidates will need to show that the sibling is a Canadian citizen or permanent resident who is living in Canada and is 18 years of age or older.
The sibling in Canada must share a mother or father with the principal Express Entry applicant or their spouse or common-law partner. This relationship can be through blood, marriage, common-law partnership or adoption.
Having a sibling in Canada has been shown to improve health and social outcomes by accelerating a newcomer’s integration into their new life in Canada.

We have been waiting for this from last one year since it was proposed by the canadian goverment and the last day of implementation was 31 March 2017.
Though the points awarded are meagre, but it can serve the purpose of some siblings, at least who have 400+ CRS

even people below 400, now with additional 15,30 or 45 points will have the chance to apply through ontario in the future.

June 7th will be the day I could have one year canadian work experience and submit my ee profile.

I dont speak French and dont have any siblings who have either canadian citizenship or PR, either.

very curious about how this would affext the draw points after june 6th.

Does it mention anywhere if french should be selected as a first language?

it does not mention that. but to get the 30 points you must have CLB7 in french and at least CLB5 in english.
since the FSW program requieres CLB7, french should be selected as first language other unless you get a higher english score that's a i think.
anyways on june 6th that will be confirmed.

I think to retake the english exam one more time will be better solution for me rather than learning french...
