Hello All,

Im currently residing in USA near Albany, NY on a H1B visa. I have a CRS score of 476. Should I consult an attorney for going through the Express Entry process or do you think I should apply directly?

thanks,
~G

Gary,

Hi, there is no need to consult an attorney if your sole purpose is to apply via Express Entry. with the current score, expect an Invitation as soon as next week.

All it takes is an hour's work of creating a profile on Express Entry.

Goodluck!

I don't think you need an attorney to process your EE application. As at now, you have a good score. If at any stage of the process, you face any challenges or need clarification. We are here to assist, direct, and share experience with you. However, if you choose to hire an attorney in the State, remember that Canada immigration law differs from US, particularly on EE and PR application. Also, for your PR application, if you choose to hire a paid representative, he or she has to be a member in good standing with immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council (ICCRC), Lawyers or notaries that must be a member of a Canadian provincial or territorial law society or Paralegals (Ontario only) must be members of the Law Society of Upper Canada.

Not required. I applied from the US and got my PPR recently by applying on my own. With that score it's just the wait you need to be worried about.

Let me know if you have any specific questions, I can help.
