Express Entry for Semi-skilled (AINP)?

Hello everyone,

I have been in Canada for just over a year on a semi-skilled TFW visa. My job is as Front Desk Agent/Clerk (Alberta Hotel and Lodging Association). My work permit covers me fro two years from entry date and on Oct 2015 will be two years. When I entered I was told by CBSA agent I could extend it two more years if I my employer approved it.

I know several things are changing in January due to the new Express Entry Program. Does anyone know how likely or unlikely it will be that this area will still be accepted?

As long as your employer sponsors you, it should be good. By the way, why don't you try to get a PR ?

There is another agent ahead of me. As he was here before me I cant apply till 2016. Its only one per calendar year.

Reg: Express entry - Eligible for PR

Hi,

I have been working in Canada for 3.5 years under work permit and struggling to get the achievable score in all sections in IELTS. In last time, I got the below score in all sections. Am I eligible to apply a PR under any categories(Considering all provinces). Your inputs would be really appreciated.

Listening: 5.5, Reading: 6.0, Writing:6.5, Speaking: 7 Overall score: 6.5
