Express Entry Eligibility Question - I am Self Employed

Hi
I am bit confused here, I've been trying to see many consultants but there are 2 views from Consultant. I am currently self employed and runs this business since 7 year. Its a partnership firm and I am the partner here, I do not get salary but a profit.

Few consultants said, because I am self employed, I am not eligible for applying. Shall I consider that as final answer? I do not see any clarity on Govt website as well

Partially true.

Self employed experience acquired inside Canada cannot be counted for CEC eligibility. Self employed experience outside Canada is certainly eligible for Express Entry.
