I think u misunderstood this scoring.. 886 is including the Job offer or invitation from province which itself is around 600 points. So effectively u need to achieve 886 - 600 = 286 points.. This is completely related to your Age, education, experience, IELTS scores, spouse education, Spouse IELTS etc., This is more than sufficient to cross 300++

But ultimately they will score you out of 1200.they will count your regular score plus your job offer score. It's clear in the instructions on cic website that they will score you from 1200.

So the person is right.... Every one is doomed now!

Effectively anyone without job offer is not eligible.
In other words, EE is for 'International students in Canada' and people already in Canada on 'Work Permits'.

damn! heart wrecking. I am spending money while it is difficult for me on IELTS and ECA this very time and reading this just makes my heart cry.

Sometimes I feel, Is it still worth to go to Canada ? This news makes us think twice now.. 2015 is going to be a recession in Canada.

Google this .. u will find in the first link..

The biggest layoffs in Canadian history
Target Canada’s 17,600 pink slips comprise one of the biggest mass layoffs in more than 20 years

Any Thoughts ?

Yes Most of the companies are laying off people now. Job market is very dull now in canada due to slump in oil price?

CIC is impossible!!! How could they implement a system that is only half-way running? EE isn't an effective migration program for most of the aspirants unless the job bank is integrated into their infamous migration system and made available to applicants.

Job bank linking will not make any difference. You can apply to as many job openings you want, but hardly you will get any response. If you notice in the current job bank, many jobs are time-lined. Rarely will an employer wait for 6 months for an employee. Like many other countries, EE is a polite way of turing down immigration requests.

I believe this has been a similar on-going program which is currently used by Australia & New Zealand. Im just wondering how some are still able to immigrate on those 2 countries. Is it really that they are very suitable & one of a kind or just extremely lucky..

Well, Canada has adopted this program.. As the above member here suggested, it may be a polite way of them turning shut a bit of the immigration faucet which has been fully opened for quite sometime now.. :( :( :(

my NOC is 2132 mechanical engineering and there are only 232 jobs and 200 are 5 years experience i guess i have to wait for 2 more year to apply for a job anyway best of luck guys this draw has totally shown us one fact that CIC don't want engineers, doctors or managers to drive cab get a job then the door is open but i will try in the upcoming draws i hope u guys also do that maybe we can succed

No, Australia does have a pool but we don't need a job offer to get an invitation. 60 is the minimum required points and nobody ever with 60 points has been rejected. I got an invite and now visa application is lodged and should be in my hands within 5 months. EE was the reason I applied for Australia. It's clear that they want only people with job offers in the new program.

i think that the new system is to regularise all those who already found themselves in canada. Moreover the old system was open for a long time ..thats why its always good to make hay quickly while the sun is shinning.

the only way in now is by Provincial Nominations.

goodluck all.

Don't know about international students. They themselves would have to apply for lmia positions then. PGWPs do not have to be lmia approved but on the other hand since they're already in Canada, it would be much easier to get hired.
