Hi all,

My application for CEC was rejected with incorrect reasons. I have a masters degree from Canada but officer stated that I did not provide ECA for my bachelors degree(from India) on refusal letter which is not required in my case. He also mentioned that I have a two or more post secondary education credential which is also incorrect. However, I claimed points for my master degree from Canada. I raised webform with proper explanation and it has been more than 5 months now they are not giving me any explanation on refusal.
Is anyone in same boat? Could you guys help me what should I do different in my next application?
TIA.

I would suggest ordering GCMS notes and consult an immigration lawyer with all of your details and GCMS notes.

I believe claiming points for Master degree automatically means claiming points for a bachelor degree as well bcoz a person cannot get admission to a Master degree without completing a bachelor degree. I hope you get my point.

In you application, did you list your bachelor's degree in India under "education" or only under "personal experience"?

Well, i think if you have done your bachelors outside Canada you need ECA in order to get points for your degree for express entry.
or You should have selected masters degree from the level of education section

Did you put bachelor degree in education section or personal history??

Also, when you select Canadian master degree, they will require DLI#.

When you were filling up your profile, Did you answered YES to the question: Has ........ had an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) within the past five years for this degree, diploma or certificate?

Following this topic as I also have the same situation.

However, I have explained this in the explanation letter and have answered 'No" in the education credential assessment for my bachelors. Not sure if that would impact me.

I did the same for some of my not finished educations. All went fine.

also, I am sure it is completely ok just to mention all the degrees you don’t need points for under personal history.
