Theres no shortcuts until you get your citizenship you cannot take your spouse also think about are you able to live alone there without spouse.

You can try to improve IELTS scores of you and your spouse to increase scores.
Other hope is a PNP

Thanks friend. It is very tough then. PNP also somewhat hard for us as we dont have relatives there.

Hi all,

I have a question regarding the marriage certificate in Sri Lanka. The one I have is a photocopy from the registration book and signed by the division secretary. Is this sufficient proof of marriage? Can I provide this as my original marriage certificate?

Thank you in advance everyone!

As far as I know, the marriage certificate you scan and upload should have the original seal in colour. If you just have a photocopy, you can get a sealed certificate copy from the Department of Registrations in Colombo or from your regional registrations office where you got married.

Hi Peeps,

Anyone with a September AOR from SL?
i have approx. 27 odd days to hit the 6month deadline. :(

Hi @nigeli87 ,

Any BGC updates yet?

Nope.
It has been "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information." right from the date of AOR.
Just counting days for my medical to get through.

How about you? I saw Dec 11 AOR person has got PPR.

Wow.. Are you through with your medicals? Maybe you should call IRCC and check.

I received Medical Pass update and Biometrics Instruction Letter on 29th Jan.
On 13th Feb received an update that the review is in progress. That's pretty much it
You should receive your MEP status within 3-4 working days time. Due to the December backlog the processing is a bit slow.
All the best....Let me know how it goes!!!

Good news!!!. Make an biometrics enrolment appointment at VFS Global (Geethanjalee Place) online and do take a copy of your passport along with you (including original passport, Biometric instruction letter and VFS Global booking confirmation receipt) .
The rest of the process is pretty straightforward from there onwards. Best of luck!!!

Wow! Thanks for the info.

Hi,
Does the Biometrics letter mean that our medicals have passed?
Because I did my Biometrics in October 2018 and im still waiting for CoPr.
Utterly confused and freaking out since its been over 5months since AOR.

In most cases receiving your Biometrics letter mean that you have passed the medicals.
Wishing you all the best for a speedy PPR

Thanks Prashan.
I got the confirmation that our medicals have been passed.
We have 20 days to hit the 6month deadline.
Freaking the hell out because my husband and I have both handed in our resignations and we are eagerly waiting to leave by April.
Fingers and toes crossed!
