Express Entry Biometrics - Service Canada Closed

Hey there!

My girlfriend and I have IEC Work Permits and currently live in Vancouver.

We submitted our Permanent Residency Application under the Express Entry Visa program a couple of months ago.

The thing is that IRCC have asked us to provide our Biometrics however Service Canada is currently closed because of COVID-19.

Our current Work Permit is due to expire on 30th July 2020 and we are worried about what happens if we can't provide the Biometrics in time.

Does anyone have any suggestions of what we should do?

You should apply for a bridging open work permit (BOWP). That permit also requires you to do biometrics but you'll be able to stay on implied status until either your PR or BOWP gets approved.
