Express entry - Application stuck almost a year

Dear Members,

I am posting on behalf of my sister who made an application under express entry system (province nomination program) and ontario gave her invitation .

She made an application as per CIC account last May (24th May). As a background to the application, my sister is divorcee with two children ( who also applied for application as dependents). She passed her medical test and other requirements. However, in novemeber they ask her to provide consent from parent's biological father.

We provided them with the court judgement stating she got the legal custody of children as advised by the agent through whom she applied. Now, we haven't received any reply from them and its almost May.

A web form was uploaded in Jan and the only communication received is that they forwarded our response to concerned officer.

We haven't received any communication so far from the canada immigration whether they need consent or court judgement is ok.

Please could anyone provide any suggestion on where can we approach/e-mail/call to get some sort of repsonse.

hey, I am in a similar boat as well. They asked for court document in last December, which I submitted right away. Now it's been more than 4 months. No movement so far. As per my last chat with them, my application was still waiting for review by an agent. I guess that's what's happening with your case as well. Anyway, this sucks. Please keep me posted if you come up with any ways that can push them forward.

Would you be able to advise how long does it take to get the response once GCMS notes are ordered. And would they definitely reply to GCMS notes.

GCMS notes take around 40 days, after you order. It will show you the notes of Visa officer who was assigned this file.

My sister is primary applicant and her two kids are dependents. While ordering GCMS notes, should i just give my sister's UCI number or both dependents as well? and they said they will send a consent form by email . Does that mean consent form needs filling by my sister ?

Primary applicant's UCI is enough however it is good to share for dependents as well.

Consent will be from Primary applicant.

by the way, what is the status that you see in her PR application profile? can you share the status?
