Hi good people

I need your advice please! I submitted my application on July 24 and my children's medical expired on October 12. I just came across an article today on CIC website that states that medical reports should be valid for 6 months after submission of application. I have been calling the panel physicians to schedule an appointment so that I can take the children to redo the medical and quickly upload using CSE but the earliest appointment I can get is next week. I'm so worried about this matter. Please what do you suggest I do while waiting? Should I send a CSE to explain this my situation to CIC right away?

I will suggest you do not book any appointment and wait, Because if VO wants to extend your child's medical then VO will send your Child's medicals for review and if they like it they might extend it for 1 Year.

If your child's medical is already expired or about to expire then VO will send your Child's medical for reassessment to the health branch and if health branch will feel that there is no need of doing medical again they will just extend the validity by 1 more year. Here is the link.

By the way what is showing in medical section of "MY CIC"is it passed or review in progress....

Thank you Chevy for the link. I have looked through and I don't think it applies to me because my children are older than 15 months and we have not been in Canada for up to 2 years.

The medical status is showing not needed at this time on CIC. On ECAS I only have three lines saying application received and in progress.

What do you suggest I do at this point?

Please read it again...and tell me when your child did his last medicals and when your child came to canada...it is nothing to do with age

My bad; I have read it again and it has nothing to do with age. Last medical exam was done 01 Oct 2014 so it's within the 15 months window. My worry is that before my medical result was updated to passed as at August but I recently noticed that the status has changed to "not needed at this time". What do you think?

Don't worry and wait, do not book any appointment, Their are high chances that your child's medicals will be extended...From when the status changed to "not needed at this time"?

I noticed the change on the 11th of October after I got a "ghost" update email. Many thanks for your support. God bless.

Give them a week and it will come back to "Passed"....Good Luck....

Sure, CIC said that everything ok and I need to wait more.

My MP said that CIC sent my file to the wrong office and officer should've contact me before October 12. But nothing happened, so I sent another Enquiry. Now I need to wait.

Checking to see if anyone who has AOR of Aug-17-2015 or beyond are seeing any movement in their application status. I had an ITA of June-26-2015, AOR of Aug-17-2015 and no updates after that, application sitting at Reviewing eligibility. Reading most of the posts here, I noticed applications have been updated within weeks of ITA if not months. Replies are appreciated.
