Friends;

The last time I was in my home country (Dec 2014) I got PC which expired after 3 months based on the PC itself. I have been in Canada since then and now I am submitting my application after the recent ITA.
I asked one lawyer and he told me expiry date makes no sense on PC (which sounds reasonable to me) and CIC accepts this by one year after issue.
Another lawyer told me to renew it.

I found this:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/perm/express/intake-complete.asp

"PCs are typically valid for one year from the date they are issued."

what you think?

The first lawyer is correct. Your PC is is still valid as long as you haven't gone back to live in that country. Ignore the expiry date on that PC as CIC has set their own expiry date.

I just saw my CIC application changed from submitted to updated about half hour back, now it has gone back to submitted (might be because I open my application), but I don't/didn't see any changes in the application status, remains at

Application/profile status Open
Review of eligibility Review in Progress
Review of medical results Passed
Review of submitted documents No additional documents are needed at this time
Scheduling an interview Not needed at this time
A background check is needed In Progress
A final decision has been reached Not Started

Anyone else had similar updates?

Did you receive any email from CIC today or yesterday?

I had the pc from back home after I never went back to my home country, how ever I brought new PC in order to avoid any problem. So I suggest s-r-z use same pc and bring thew one after send to CIC by case.

According to the new rules set in April, his PCC is still valid since he hasn't gone back to live in that country.

Going to decision made tonight. I am 100% sure.

Hi Guys,

Please I really need you advice on the Express Entry. I got SINP nomination so will be getting additional 600 points so I'm really getting ready for the next draw in October hoping to get an ITA.

I recently moved from my home country to Ireland (due to a 3 month contract to end in early Nov.). It's possible it's extended if not I will have to return to home country.

While I have added the work experience showing Ireland in my EE Profile , What I'm not sure is if I need to change my residence in my EE profile from my home country.

As I'm not certain my contract will be extended, I don't know if there is need to obtain police certificate from here and also if I will have to do the medical here when I get ITA.

I will appreciate your advice.

Thanks a lot

I had the same about 1-2 weeks ago without any email notification. Didn't have any change since then.
Anyway, good luck.

I had the same thing happened in my CIC but no update since then

I got few confusions before hitting Submit;

What means "multiple" next to some file uploads, for example "Passport (required) (multiple)" ?

I am in Canada, I believe I don't need to get PC from Canada, right?

My wife got her BSc and MSc, but we did not ECA her degrees as my Canadian PhD was enough for points. Now my dilemma is if in the form I claim her degrees, later it asks for uploading them (which I don't have), I can just simply do not mention her degrees, is this misrepresentation?!

Does paying RPRF in advance really make the process faster?

Thanks in advance

It's a good idea to always be on the safe or extra side. in this case that would be getting new PCC.

You can submit the old one with your current application but make sure to apply for a new one.

from experience, Paying RPRF in advance grants you faster PPR than not paying in advance.
