hello everyone,

Im new to this forum and i have been looking for a Caribbean Forum for months finally found one. Yayy. Despite not being here early i believe it would be nice to share my experience and my story. Stories i read online provided me with key guidance. I sent an email on October 11th to POS office to verify if my file was already transferred to them, surprisingly they responded within two hours to inform my that my file was being processed by CPC-Ottowa, later that evening i received PPR. Based on what ive been reading POS takes a while to return passports. I believe that some applications are processed by CPC and not POS.

Here is my Timeline
Aor -Sept 6th 2017
Medicals Passed Sept 14
IP1 Sept 15th
NA2 Sept 18th
Additional Doc Requested Sept 26th 2017 (Family Info)
Submitted Additional Documents - Sept 28th 2017
IP2 - October 3rd
PPR -October 11TH 10:30PM
Passport Sent : Oct 16th
Passport Received Oct 19th
Awaiting COPR and PP

In my case as well I provided a LOE and also provided a letter in their format by one of my colleagues and provided his business card (This was not on letterhead) as he is at a different company currently. Also this job was my first job and out of my 7 years 5.5 years were at this company and is my base NOC. However it is one of the big 4 accounting firms and is well known around the world.

2 months at LVO? wow.. i was hoping that transfer to LVO means IP2 and will receive PPR in the next month or so.

Just have to wait and see I suppose there is nothing I can do at this time other than to wait

Hi SherFer, I would say IP2 most likely means it is at the local VO but there are instances where it did not. Also, I have seen lots of instances at POS VO where background changes were not updated and PPR was given.

Based on your timeline and the 6 month rule of thumb I would suggest you ask and if it is really bothering you (I understand the suspense) then order the GCMS notes. Your case as explained above sounds normal as those are things people have done and gotten through but bear in mind each case is handled differently. Good luck!

Appreciate it

I am only a few days shy of reaching the 3 months mark and so I think I just need to be patient and sit tight as there is nothing I can do at this point. Fingers crossed and thank you once again :)
