Hi Everyone,
Today I applied for and received my international driver's permit at the local Tax Office. This was free of charge. Its a little booklet and you are required to bring 1 passport size picture with you and fill out an application form....and show your current license.
Based on my reading, this will allow me to drive in Ontario for only 60 days.....hopefully I will be able to secure an Ontario License by this.
Just sharing in case anyone else wants to do the same.

Hello Ztevoo, I would not advise you to take that route as it is very costly (I have heard of prices ranging from 2.5K to 5K CAD) and there is no guarantee you will be successful. Rather do your research and ask us questions. There are quite a number of people on this group that can give you good free advice.
Don't bother hiring a lawyer, they're really expensive and you can do all the work yourself, I know three people personally who did all paperwork for themselves and were successful. The instructions are easy to follow.
