Draws are frequent but the processing has been slower than before... July and August applicants getting PPR. So everybody else is in for a decent wait...

I'm here thinking the goal was to get rid of the backlog. I don't have a issue with the frequent draws because the goal is to get a certain number of qualified people but it cant be at the expense of the timeline they stipulated from the beginning . Maybe they need more staff to accomodate these frequent batches to be processed.Ah well let the wait continue .

Yeah, I agree with you. Shouldn't be making the time line longer... There are a few fortunate persons from Oct and Nov getting PPR in this week.

Hi everyone. I am currently getting all my documents together for submission. I applied for home country (Ja)police record on Dec 23, 2015. I realised that my passport had only 7 months before expiration, so on the same day, I applied for a new passport. Today I received my police record with the old passport number affixed. Do you guys think I now need another police record for the new passport? My old passport is stapled to the new one as it has all my visas.

I think you can use the police record because it was done using a valid passport as is and apply for a new passport because I think not less than 6 months validity should be on it at the end of the process. Submit a letter with the application for the new passport and still show the old one with all the visas, stamps and markings etc.

I've seen persons here send in the copy of the current passport and proof of application for a new one through a LOE or CSE until it arrives.

Thanks for responding Nyla.

I actually received the new passport on Dec 31, 2015. Today, Jan 21, i received the police record with the old passport number (expiration date July 2016). I am thinking to even attach my PCC receipt to show that i applied for the PCC and the new passport on the same day ( passport took 7 days, PCC took 21 days). Before i received my ITA on Jan 6, i included both passport numbers in my EE profile. So i intend to scan and upload both but it just dawned on me that being proactive may mean i need another PCC reflecting the new passport number.

Sounds good to me! all bases are covered that way

All the best!

Can anyone tell me the photo specification for express entry. I am seeing where CIC says 50mm x 70mm, however the document checklist for upload says at least 35 x 45mm. What is the correct size pleaseeee??
