Congratulations OptimisticLady!

I'm landing next month too. The resignation letter was handed in on Oct 1 effective Oct 31. After that I just need to tie up some ends and get out of here! :o ;D

YamPower, this reminded me of when I got my student visa 5 years ago and couldn't wait to get out. All the best

KimKim or Anybody,

I got the ITA on October 2, 2015. So this is what I have been doing since then...tell me if I am on the right path.

1. I scanned my passport, degrees, IELTS scores, did my medical today (got the upfront medical print out)
and paid for the Police Certificate

(going do the finger print tomorrow).

2. requested my employment letters which are in progress.

3. Waiting for an International cheque to clear which will be the first week of November to get the Bank
Statement.

I plan to upload all of these by the first/second week on November as my Deadline is 30 November.

AM I ON THE RIGHT PATH?

I see people talking about AOR-what is that? and Medical requested and things like that.

I plan to upload everything at once or from now to the second week of November- I am doing the right thing?

When will I get the AOR? or After I do what I will get the AOR??

U need to do an ECA, Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) it is used to verify that your foreign degree, diploma, certificate (or other proof of your credential) is valid and equal to a Canadian one if u were educated outside of Canada. If u need to do one u need to go on CIC website and find which body to use.

Also be very sure ur job letters are very detailed and have all the requirement asked for by CIC.

Before submitting make sure u click on the ? for each field where u are to upload the documents and read the instructions.

AOR means Acknowledgement of Receipt, u get that after u have submitted ur application.

Medical request is for persons who prob haven't uploaded a medical report in their application...

There's also a section called "letter of explanation" u may upload any additional information that u may want to declare/explain to CIC

HipChick that's entirely too long. Did you send them a fax? The number is 613-946-6059.

That cheque will pose a problem because they will think that you borrowed the money. Ensure that you attach a letter of explanation to the bank letter & statement to tell them how you got that money.

TishFaith, ensure that the description of duties is similar to how it is worded in the NOC code description. That may mean that you have to write the letter yourself and then get HR to approve it.

YamPower,

The cheque that I am waiting to clear from my cousin represents a loan from me to her which she paid back. She has written a letter to explain and I have documents supporting the wire transfer and a printout of her overseas bank account with the same dates and wire transfer information.

Should I upload the Letter of Explanation and supporting wire transfer information with the Proof of Fund Bank statement OR where the section for letter of explanation??

The Job letters should be fine....but I will double check.

Thanks

You can scan everything into one PDF file and upload it under the proof of funds section. That's what I did. Also, ensure that it's all converted into CA$. The BOJ exchange rate on their web site will be fine.
