Terry27,
One way to get some points is to get a Provincial nomination from territory. I just got one from Ontario but it took 101 days for them to process my application!

YamPower,
A spend so much time trying to get extra points that I dont know nuttin' bout the next steps? HELP!!!

What is PPR? COPR?

I am in Jamaica... How do I go about preparing my documents for application? What mistakes should I ensure not to make?

Hi All,

My first post. I am in Jamaica and I'm planning to enter the pool this weekend. I got my IELTS results today (L-8, R-8, W-8 and S-7.5) - was worried about the results but God worked it all out. I got my credentials assessed last month (MBA and BBA). My score based on a few websites is 467.

I'm praying that things will work out for me like it has for many of you. How/what was the medical like?

Congrats! Those are good points and you did well on the IELTS.

The medical is simple, you do bloodwork for HIV and syphilis and a chest xray to check for TB. Other than that the doctor examines you and asks about any serious illness (be totally honest).

Have you booked the medical yet? You should really create the profile immediately because there's a chance that a draw could be announced tonight.

Hi and welcome!!

I must say its a very tedious application process but once you are able to navigate through the application all will be well. One thing I have learnt is that when completing the application, ensure that the page is loaded properly before moving onto the next section or else all the data you put in will be deleted. It happened to me quite a number of times before I figured it all out. I must say at times I got so overwhelmed. Ensure all the information you give in your profile is correct and you have documents to prove it. Overall, once you get the application done its now on to the WAITING process :)

Your score is good and as Yampower states, do the application as soon as possible so that you might get an early ITA. Everyone experience is different. Your wait time may be shorter :)

All the best and put God first in everything.... HE will work it out for you.
