Hi everyone,

Thanks in advance for reading, my current situation is;

I'm an Australian on my final 11 months of 4 years of Working Holiday Visas. I'm currently figuring out my best pathway to PR.

I have 2-3 years of "(6)ii. full time skilled work experience (overseas) in the past 10 years" as a "6211 - Retail Sales Supervisor [Skill Level B]".

I also have 4 months of "(6)i. full time skilled work experience in Canada in the past 10 years" as a "6211 - Retail Sales Supervisor [Skill Level B]", but the catch is this experience was gained during my first year of WHV, which was over 3 years ago.

I do have the option to work a further 8 months as a "6211 - Retail Sales Supervisor" before my Working Holiday Visa is up, in order to bring my "(6)i. full time skilled work experience in Canada in the past 10 years" to 1 year, but I want to make sure it will provide me with a path to PR before doing so. A few things to note are;
  • I know I am not eligible for CEC, because even if I work 8 more months in Canada, the other 4 months of experience were accrued over 3 years ago
  • I may be eligible as a Federal Skilled Worker, although in order to get my CRS points up to a reasonable level (around 466) to be picked from the EE pool, I'll need to bring my "(6)i. full time skilled work experience in Canada in the past 10 years" to 1 year.
    • I am wondering if this year can consist of two separate jobs (worked 4 years apart) of the exact same NOC classification, "6211 - Retail Sales Supervisor"? If so, my CRS points will sit at around 466, which should be enough to get picked from the pool.
      • I should then be able to be judged as eligible as a Federal Skilled Worker, as I have "at least one year of continuous full-time or equivalent paid work experience in the past 10 years in a skilled occupation (overseas)", and, assuming that for Adaptability, "You did at least one year of full-time work in Canada", means that I can count the 4 months + 8 months as 1 year, my six immigration selection factors score will be 78 points.
      • One last question, for my education, my degree is in Sports Science, not in any management or retail related subjects, do I still count as a federal skilled worker even though I'm working a skilled job that didn't require study?
Please let me know if you have any input

Thanks!

Anyone? Can "(6)i. full time skilled work experience in Canada in the past 10 years" consist of multiple jobs with a break in between? Also does the work have to be in one NOC or can it be in multiple, as long as they are skilled, 0, A or B?
