Hi, my spouse has an uncle who is a Canadian citizen and currently living in Canada, but I don't have a direct relative in Canada. In the check availability questionnaire, In the check box that says asks if you have a relative in Canada, should I check that or not? Previousaly before express entry they used to ask whether you or your wife has a relative in Canada.

Check no. There is a separate question for your spouse's relatives. There, you check YES.

Wrong, either you misunderstood the agent or the agent is mis-informed. We CAN indeed apply for express entry even if we have applied for FSW 2014. It is clear in the website itself. And besides, that has ALWAYS been the case. People can apply at the same time for different categories (or even different NOCs for the same category at the same time) or at different times for the same category.

There's no need sounding rude, no one is here on a contest of who is right or wrong. We learn everyday. The agent repeated herself several times because I doubted the information she gave me. I only posted the question here for further clarification and I am glad it will serve as a reference for those in doubt. Y'all should learn to take it down a notch sometimes. Jeez!

Click on the "Come To Canada" link to determine your eligibility. If you are eligible it will automatically take you to the My CIC website to create a profile. Just to let you know that I knew I was qualified yet the Come To Canada tool said I was not. However, it will still give you a reference number at the end. Use this number on the My CIC website to complete your profile. After completion I was told that I met the criteria. Here's the link to My CIC

Many thanks :)

After you create your profile and meet the criteria, you will receive a message letter form giving you instructions and a link on how to complete job bank profile. Like another forum member posted, just enter the information CIC give you.

You have to go into you myCIC account, click on the express entry profile there and towards the bottom, there will be a section for messages. You click on them to download the messages.

Hey,

Have you created a profile under My CIC yet? If not, make sure you follow all the steps listed in the link below. If you've used the Come To Canada tool and you were eligible, it should have taken you directly to the My CIc page. If not a reference number should be given after finishing the assessment, then you can go to My CIC webpage and create your profile.
