hello people, have a question regarding the minimun ielts band for the express entry. Can someone advance to the pool of candidates having less than 6 in one of the sections?, will the fsw 2014 language requierements be still valid for the express entry?. I have read in consultant's blog an unofficial information which mention that for the first draw the minimun will be 240 points.

Thanks.

Minimum IELTS = 6.0 in each band.

Before the draw, only it will be published the minimum score. nobody knows the minimum point yet.

The minimum score for IELTS is still 6 in each section but the points achievable with your IELTS have not been published. Please be patient.

So why are they giving points in the Comprehensive Ranking System for results below clb 7 which is equivalent to ielts 6 if it won't qualify to be in the pool? thats the part that is confusing, on the other hand CIC also mentions that "to get into the Express Entry pool, skilled foreign nationals will need to meet the criteria of one of the federal immigration programs subject to Express Entry:

the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP),
the Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP), or
the Canadian Experience Class (CEC).

Because the point system applies to all three streams: FSW, FSTP, and CEC. These programs have different minimum requirements but will have the same point scheme given the minimum requirement is met for any one of the programs.

Is there any guess how many applicant will be selected in each draw?

there is no number on how many applicant will be selected.. there is no cap for express entry unlike the current system. they will select only those on higher rank or with higher points. the question is how high is their barometer?

Hello everyone

I wanted to ask about the credential evaluation by WES. Shud I get WES FSWP credential done or there is some another Credential evaluation by WES for Express entry?

As per CIC website IELTS requirement is different for FSW & FSTP.

Seniors,

I have a MBA Degree and transcript, but transcript they gave me in 2007, when I passed out.

Can I put that in a sealed envelop and send to WES? Would it work?

Please guide

You're right, you must go for the WES FSWP if your intention is to be selected by the fswp. Express Entry is only a filter.

Those with higher ranks by NOC or by the entire pool of candidates?.
Do you think is possible to get an lmia in a different area of expertise?, giving the fact that most commons NOCs are regulated.

Your IELTS result will tell if you will use the info from the first or the second column. If it's over CLB 9 on all categories, you should use the second column.

Otherwise the first one.
