FSW2014 ends on 31 December 2014.obryan20 said:Hi all
I am curious as to how the Express Entry system will work. Currently though, I have applied for FSW14 and my application is in process. As far as I know, FSW14 will be closing in April 2015 so there will be some months of overlap (i.e. Jan 2015 to April 2015). My advice though would be to apply for FSW if possible before it closes, as with that, once your application is complete and you meet the requirements, you are almost guaranteed a spot. At this point EE seems too "iffy".
However, I will keep watching this space for more details.
If your job belongs to the list of eligible NOC and it is considered a cold NOC then apply nowsripan1504 said:Hello All...
First of all...Kudos to all for sharing their views as this thread is very informative for people who want to know about Express Entry program for next year..
Can anyone suggest which could be advantageous applying for FSW 2014 or waiting for Express Entry to commence...I'm a bit skeptical...please advise.
Thank you for your prompt response, acrossborder said:If your job belongs to the list of eligible NOC and it is considered a cold NOC then apply now
But if it is a hot NOC and you think you won't make it to the cap then I personally suggest complete the requirements now so you may be more or less ready for express entry. Specially if you think you obtained a high score for FSW criteria. And stay tuned on january 1 for EE details
Hi, FSW 2015 will end on April 30, 2015 or when the global cap of 25,000 applications is reached. It will overlap with Expression of Interest which will launch in January 2015, the information in the link does not indicate the end of FSW but the launch of EoI. Cheers.SINESTRO said:FSW2014 ends on 31 December 2014.

The line clearly states that " These are the last applications we will accept under the current system before Express Entry launches in January 2015"Pipis Husband said:Hi, FSW 2015 will end on April 30, 2015 or when the global cap of 25,000 applications is reached. there will be no overlapping whatsoever. (emphasis on the word "before")
There will be overlapping according to the Ministerial Instructions for FSW 2014. Check this link (Look for the word "April"):SINESTRO said:The line clearly states that " These are the last applications we will accept under the current system before Express Entry launches in January 2015"
