Hi All,

I am currently on a year visa (9 months remaining), I have a permanent offer of employment from an employer which I have been working in for 3 months.

I am hoping to apply under the express entry as I have heard I could have a lot of points for already being in Canada and working with a full time employer.

Could anyone explain the next steps I need to do to make myself ready to apply? I don't have a LMO, is this needed?

Thanks!

You should try to obtain LMIA from your employer. Provided u fulfill language and experience requirements, you will get am Invitation to Apply for FSW (as said in the rules)

Job bank will be open for registrations only in the later part of January.
Where is it written that Job Bank will be open only after January? As far as I understand it is possible to register even now. Is it really necessary to wait until January?

Hi All,
My Name is Rakesh Kumar. I wish to apply for Express entry.

Some questions :

1) My IELTS score is : R: 5.5, L : 7.0 , W: 6.5 , S: 6.0 . Am i elgible?? I think i need to take it again :(
2) In My ECA My is slightly different from what is written in my Passport . I added a cover letter with an affidavit in My WES package but i think they did not consider it as they only mention name what is written on your degree and on your marksheets.

Name on ECA report: KUMAR, Rakesh Jogi
Name on Masters degree (MCA) : Rakesh Kumar Jogi
Name on Passport : Surname : Kumar and First name : Rakesh (Kumar Rakesh)

Do I need to Correct my degree and marksheets and do WES ECA again ?? or will it work ??

Thanks in advance
Rakesh

It is mentioned in the EE instruction. Even if you register now, you will require to re-register at later part of January.

Thanks I'll do this.

I guess I need to get all my documents ready for the FSW as well then. I thought this new system would make things easier but its just the same but with an extra hoop to jump through :-P

LMIA gives u 600 points! How much more can you want brother/sister?

For EE you must have an excellent scores in IELTS to earn
satisfactory points on Language and work experience.
Score of 6 in all modules is not good enough please.
The least to target is band 7 and if you work hard, focus
on band 8 and 9.
These bands are possible please.
Good luck.

I don't have one yet, I'll have to get my employer to agree to do one which might be tricky.

Friends,

I am planning start my PR process under express entry in January.

I have one important question about my education qualification and work experience.

I have completed full time B.Com and MBA but in distance learning.

Also have total 7 years of experience in IT-Networking field (2 MNCs). I have cleared so many technical training and certification which helped to my career.

So will it make any issue if I have commerce degree and experience in technical field? Do they count my all experience and degrees?

TIA.

Hi everyone,

After going through points calculation I have a question and would be very greatful if someone knowledgable could shed some light:

Skills Transferrability: "Two or more post-secondary program credentials AND at least one of these credentials was issued on completion of a post-secondary program of three years or longer (levels 6,7 & 8)"

In my case I have a 4 year Bachelor approved by WES and 1 year Masters approved by WES, both from same University with similar fields (Management and Management of Foreing Relations). Do they qualify as two credentials?

Thanks ahead.

Thanks KSA, for sharing your inputs.I have applied for 2014 FSW in December (noc same as yours 0911)

Under EE, I plan to apply for another noc for which I also have 3 years of exp.

Hi guys, I have two questions on calculating points under express entry:

(1) For IELTS score, I have the score of 8.5 for listening, 8.5 for reading, 7.5 for writing, and 7 for speaking. Does it mean my score would be 34 (listening) + 34 (reading) + 34 (writing) + 31 (speaking)?

(2) For Canadian work experience, they do not count part-time experience while a candidate is studying full-time. Am I right?

(3) I do not understand what cic meant by "two post-secondary program credentials", for the purpose of calculating points in express entry. If a candidate obtained a bachelor degree and then a master's degree, both from the same study area (e.g, communication), does this candidate have two post-secondary program credentials? Or, does this candidate have to have credentials in two different study areas (e.g., communication and education)?

Thank you for your prompt reply.
How about experience letter.i believe that my company wont give any testimonial.
So in this case is it possible to take self declaration .whether immigration will accept that?
And I am the primary applicant , if I do WES for my wife would increase my points? Or this will not help?

If your company's HR does not provide reference letter, then you can provide letter from your colleagues (best if the person writing the letter is your boss/supervisor), and attach photocopy of appointment letter, pay slip etc.

To claim points for spouse education, you must complete wife's ECA from WES or ICAS

What about people without experience?
