Hi.

Could anybody help me out please regarding my eligibility for Express Entry programme.

I applied for Express Entry yesterday for me & my wife but got the reply that minimum criteria not met/Not Eligible.

My score is as follows: Suitable NOC 9241 Power Engineer

Age : 30 ( becomes 12 points )
Education : Bachelor in Engineering. Valid ECA available ( Become 21 points )
Ielts: L 7.5, R 7, W 6, S 7.5 ( Becomes 21 points after conversion )( Valid )
Experience: 6 years Foreign work experience.( Suitable NOC 9241 )( becomes 15 points )
Adaptability: My wife has valid Ielts score L 6.5, R 6.5, W 6, S 6 ( becomes 5 points )

in this way total score becomes: 12 + 21 + 21 + 15 + 5=74

Moreover my wife is having Masters Degree and valid ECA available.

What i am missing ??

What have you selected in funds? You should have to select funds for 2 people

Ielts: L 7.5, R 7, W 6, S 7.5 ( Becomes 21 points after conversion )( Valid )

You will not acheive anything by making your profile now because your IELTS are low and you are 30 and are in a state of age where you will lose points for age also and education is bachelors only. You will get max of 366 crs points which will never let you any chance of getting an ITA. You should increase your IELTS to atleast 7 in speaking, writing, reading and atleast 8 in listening than you will get good points for english but still you will be short. Your wife education is full. If she have some work exp. Make her the principal applicant because I think she will be younger than you so she will get max age points and very high education points and if she gets minimum 7-7-7-8 in IELTS your application will have round about 470 points which will give you an ITA.

Well looking at the trend its highly unlikely. When the last six month draws were above 480 apart from last draw. And it has never gone below 450 and even if OINP starts like before they also need 400 above points so you dont stand any chance with 350-400 range if you cant get it over 400

Having minimum IELTS points will make you eligible to make an EE profile, but it will most likely not give you enough CRS points to be invited to apply for PR. You will need to increase your IELTS points to have better chances in the pool.

I'm at 440 points now due to go up soon after another year of experience. I actually would have more points if I was posted as single however I have my aerospace engineer, 33 yr old boyfriend (both native English) as my accompanying spouse. Oh, my NOC is 2171.

I'm not sure if you are simply posting these comments as you feel you are from an exalted position, however if the trend continues and if rules are changed slightly I may very well have my PR soon.

If your score will go up you will have a good chance and good luck for that. I am not exhalted. I am saying to a person who has 360-370 points because you will also agree with me that there will be no chance.

Oh I agree, but you instantly assume that anyone over 30 with a bachelors doesn't stand a chance; which isn't remotely the case. Even my boyfriend at 33 has 426 points.
