Hey guys,

I have got this CPCO-FinalRequest email which asks me to send the passports for PR confirmation and visa. But there is an statement repeated in a few places saying that:

  • Your Permanent Resident document(s) will expire one year after the date of your medical examinations or earlier if your passport or the passports of your spouse or dependant children (if applicable) expire on an earlier date.
The point it's already over 1 year since we did the medical. Actually, we did the medical last year in April and submitted the application in May (AOR May 2017). So what is this supposed to mean? The documents will be expired right after (even before) they are issued?

Thanks.

Could you please tell me which Visa office is it?

The application is processed on Ottawa and the passports should be sent to London (VAC).

Thanks.

You should call CIC and inform them about it right away. They might ask you to go for medicals again.

Thank you for the hint. Do you by any chance know of an appropriate CIC phone number for this purpose?

Cheers.

The medicals have most likely been extended for another year.
