Guys!

I know, once we get a PR, we need to travel in the time frame of 1 year. Is this valid for primary as well as for family also ???? i am asking this, as i have a scenario.

I want to know the time frame of validity of PR for my family in one scenario

Example : if i get a PR for myself and family (assumption pls). Then if i move to Canada (alone) and start searching for job and then try to settle ...................if all this take around 1-1.5 years, in the mean time my family members PR will expire ?????.............how lone will my family members PR will be valid ???

Cheers!

Yes one year from medicals. But they can land canada and leave to receive PR card. They need to stay 2 out of 5 years in Canada to retain PR status.

The COPR expiry date will be written on the COPR document. It will be a maximum of one year but depending on circumstances, may be as short as a few weeks. It cannot be extended. All the family members must complete the landing procedures by that date, even if some elect to return home for a while afterwards.
