Hi everyone,

Hope you are doing well. I am in the middle of preparing for my citizenship application and have a quick question about declaring the expiry dates of my "temporary status" within "physical presence" tab. Below are my timeline:
+ My original PGWP expired on Jul 15, 2023
+ My 18 months PGWP Extension expired on Nov 23, 2024
+ I became PR on Jun 09, 2023

So, when I try to use the expiry dates on my PGWP, the system doesn't allow me beause both dates are after my PR date. I am thinking to use Jun 07, 2023 for my original PGWP and Jun 08, 2023 for my Extension which is two days right before my PR date. I am not sure if it's ok

Anyone have encountered the same thing? Really appreciate your inputs

I am in a very similar situation, but my PGWP was extended because my passport expired.
Original PGWP expired on Nov 07 2023
Extension issued on May 05th 2023, valid to Aug 18 2025
PR obtained on Jul 25 2023
I am not sure what to write there. In theory, my first PGWP expired on July 24 2023, but my extension expired on the same day.

Hey, I think it's good! You can't have your WP when you are a PR so your original WP would end on June 8, 2023.

If you also have the WP extension, then it's best to put it on June 8, 2023, then make the original WP ends on June 7; 2023.

After this, send them all these details and all the original WP and extensions on your Explanation letter and why you have to change the expiry date like that (to bypass the system) I'm sure it'll be fine. They just want to check if you are on a legal status during your time in Canada.
