Expiring Passport

Hello,

I am in process of submitting document after ITA. My wife passport is going to expire in next 4 months. I just came to know that passport validitiy needs to be at least six months.

First Question:
My only option right now is to request Pakistan embassy to issue non-machine readable passport with validity of one year. This non-machine readable passport can be issue immediately other passport take long time.

Second Question:
Is it necessary to have same passport number on Saudi PCC as your current passport?

I will be very thankful for any assistance in this regard.

Hey did you figure out the answer to your first question? My passport is expiring in 4 months too and I am about to submit.

I submitted the passport with four month validity, later they ask for new passport before issuing COPR.
