Expired Work Permit of Canada. Can I visit Europe?

I am from India currently on Work Permit VISA.My Canadian Work Permit is expiring on 08 June 2019.
I have already filed for Work Permit Extension on 9 May 2019.

I want to visit Europe and US during July 2019.

Can I apply for the Schengen and US VISA before receiving extension confirmation doc?

Yes, why not? Your applications for other countries have nothing to do with your Canadian work permit application..
