I have not submitted the application yet. Just waiting on my Option C and other documents. Also, trying to figure out how to submit an outland application now. :'(

Why would they call for an interview. Wouldn't they just come and deport him right away, no questions asked?

Get the PR app submitted ASAP.

Deportations are a lot of work and cost money. When the person being deported is going to be approved for PR in a few months anyways, it makes no sense to go through the whole process. Most of the time, CBSA grants the applicant a stay until the PR app is processed. However, sometimes, they do deport, regardless of the PR app.
